This is a great part of Atlanta - near East Atlanta Village and Decatur. Marta bus stops are just a few blocks away, while rail lines are 2-3 miles away. Other areas like Little 5 Points, Oakhurst, Kirkwood, Reynoldstown, Old 4th Ward are close too
This is my little home in East Atlanta. I live here with my dog and cat, they're both five years old. I use both of the downstairs rooms as my bedroom and an office. The downstairs bathroom is also mine, naturally.
If staying the communal spaces would be the living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. You can even wash some clothes while you're here if need be!
I've got a cute little table and chairs set on the porch and another in the backyard, which is quite enjoyable until the mosquitoes get bad!
As noted, this is my home and the private attic is what space you'll be staying in. You do have to access it through the main part of the house. The door is off the kitchen.
As such, I will never rent the room out if I'm not home. Depending on when you're here I'll either be gone at work, out doing whatever it is that I do, or hanging around the house enjoying my downtime. I'm happy to hang out and chat with you or leave you be and do your own thing. I previously had a roommate who lived in the room upstairs, so I kinda see it that way: when you need alone time everyone has their own room to go to. But if hanging out in the common areas, then a conversation is fair game. :)
I will always request that you try to arrive at a time when I can be home. I do not crate my dog, nor have a fenced back yard. Therefore the house is hers to sleep, eat, and "protect" throughout the day. She's seriously the sweetest dog ever and has never met a stranger. However, it would be irresponsible of me to not be home with her when guests arrived. The cat is likely something you'll never even see...unless you decide to cook. She begs as well as the dog!
I hope saying as you would in your own home will suffice as good conduct rules. I don't have many people over because this is my escape from the world. If I want to drink and get 'crazy' with friends, I go out. Always clean up after yourself. I always keep the house clutter free and live by the mantra, "leave it better than you found it." Of course the exception would be deep cleaning the upstairs room. (There is a cleaning fee after all, so vacuuming or cleaning the toilet isn't expected.)
I am highly sensitive to cigarette smoke and prefer nonsmokers. If you must smoke only outdoors and disposing of butts properly. Plus giving yourself a few minutes to 'air out' would be appreciated.
No other pets would be allowed.

I'm a busy woman - work full-time and seeing all that Atlanta has to offer in my free time. When not working I'm exploring the bars and restaurants of Atlanta. The food scene here is amazing! I've also got a dog and cat. While the cat isn't much for car rides, the dog lives for them. I like to find good hiking spots with her and enjoy some nature while we're at it. Perhaps most importantly is music. I love many genres and try to see as many live shows as possible. Atlanta is great for that as well! Of course I travel and have seen quite a few countries and states.
