This mid-century home is located in the historic Twin Palms neighborhood of South Palm Springs. It's a short walk to the Ace Hotel and Koffi. Or you may decide never to leave this 3,000 square foot modernist gem with walls of glass to the pool and mountain views.
This house has been thoughtfully updated and restored with a reverence for the original 60's architecture. The art is largely by Los Angeles contemporary artists and the furniture by mid-century designers such as Milo Baughman and Richard Schultz. The wall of glass in the living room looks out onto the pool and mountain views. A stone fireplace is double sided to the living room and formal dining room. The kitchen is outfitted with a Wolf range and is adjacent to the pool and wet bar. Three main bathrooms feature Heath tile and terrazzo floors and counters to emulate the original terrazzo entry. And speaking of terrazzo, check out that master bathroom soaking tub surrounded by an enclosed cactus garden. The fourth bedroom has a private entrance and two queen beds and it's own media set-up. The fourth bedroom has an attached half bath but showers are in the opposite wing of the house with the other bedrooms. Fruit trees encircle the property for that perfect afternoon craft cocktail. -The City of Palm Springs municipal ordinance no. 1848 prohibits the amplification of sound including music , outdoor speakers, TV's, etc. outside of the dwelling unit and it shall not be audible at the property line. Occupants are subject to immediate citation and fine and possible eviction for creating a disturbance. If we are contacted by the city for a disturbance, the $500 damage deposit will be forfeited.
-It also requires a 25 year old age minimum for responsible party and a written rental agreement and prior to occupancy.
-The city allows a maximum of 8 adults and 2 children under 12 at vacation rentals unless they are a designated estate property.
-Two night minimum. Three night minimum on most holidays and some weekends.
-$45 daily pool heating charge (optional)
-Please eat at one of the dining tables. You will be charged for carpet and upholstery stains. No red wine in the living room.
-Do not leave the pool umbrellas up when not in use. Wind can cause them to blow over and break and you will be responsible for the $150 replacement fee.
