This warm and welcoming home is situated opposite a lovely little park and 5 mins from the lively town centre. There is parking outside with easy access to the Metrolink to Manchester city and airport. The bedroom is at the back of the house in a quiet location.
A comfortable double bed with dressing table, shelving for your things and an Edwardian fireplace. Toiletries, lovely towels, hairdryer and fresh bed linen are always available. Some quirky features and lots of books help make this a nice restful space to relax and sleep. Downstairs there are more books, a meditation space, squishy sofa; plus modern kitchen and bathroom with shower, toilet, p-shaped bath and wash basin. Note the bathroom is on the ground floor.
No 8 has a little flower-filled backyard with a private place to sit in the sunshine. Access to the house is from the front through a gate and a small colourful garden. There is a bike cupboard for guest use at the back of a small traditional hallway.
The host, Penny is usually available at check in and out. But if not she is easily accessible and not far away at her acupuncture clinic. Penny is very happy to answer guests' questions about the local area and has lots of information on attractions, including Sale Water Park, the Trafford Centre and Dunham Massey. Trams run to and from the City until midnight.
No 8 is an ideal stopping off place if you want to get to Manchester or the Airport. There is super-fast wifi and late night shopping locally. Cinema, restaurants, ski slope, dodgems, bowling and every major retail store can be found at the Trafford Centre 9 mins drive away.
Typical of this type of house, the stairs are somewhat steep and accessed through a door in the living room.
There is a good sized walk in cupboard in the hallway. This can be used for your bikes and any excess luggage you won't need with you in your bedroom. Let me know if you plan to use it.
No 8 is a very relaxed place with its own charm. There are very few rules - no smoking indoors, pets by arrangement, shoes off in the hall, nothing too raucous! And keep in touch - changes to arrival, departure times are useful to know.
