Guara Ki is a beyond-organic, lush sub-tropical oasis growing tropical fruits, vegetables, herbs using Permaculture. The house, is a beautiful space created with interconnected shipping containers that is comfortably air conditioned. Near Everglades.
Guara Ki Eco Farm, is a working Permaculture teaching farm. We grow tropical fruit year round: Lychee, longan, jakfruit, dragonfruit, mamey sugar apple, custard apple, avocado, mango, assorted citrus, figs, and many other small fruits. We also grow several types of perennial vegetables year round: spinaches, moringa, cassava, taro, sweet potato, pigeon pea, lemongrass, Thai basil, peppers, and many more. From November to April, we grow more standard vegetables, such as kale, chard, carrots, tomatoes, parsley, cilantro, etc. Our happy hens are usually foraging somewhere on the farm.
Guests have their own space inside our "farm house" -- a unique space consisting of 2 private guest rooms with a shared living room created with interconnected shipping containers. The main bathroom and shower is in beautiful covered outdoor wooden structure. Guests may roam around the farm and enjoy the lush atmosphere.
There are always several farm staff around to connect with, learn a bit of what's going on, share stories, and provide assistance, if needed. I will be happy to make recommendations on places to visit and where to eat.
•Absolutely NO smoking anywhere on the farm
•Upon arrival, ask for Farm Manager and you will get an orientation to farm and learn how everything works
