Please read entire description before booking. My priority is to make your stay in Joshua Tree a memorable one. The listed price is for the main house only which sleeps 6 in two bedrooms and a queen-size daybed in the living room. There are two full bathrooms. The third bedroom is a 270 sq. ft. detached studio room with a queen bed, queen sofa bed and bathroom with shower. This is included with the price of 7 or more people. For week-long and month bookings, the studio is included in the price.
This spacious and cozy home with great views is located in the heart of Joshua Tree Village just minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park Entrance Station. A quick 1/2 mile drive or walk and you're in the middle of Joshua Tree's small downtown of shops, eateries and galleries.
Integrated great room and kitchen floor plan gives that extra spacious feeling. Enjoy the vaulted exposed beam ceiling, natural stone and gas log fireplace, two extra large comfy sofas, and queen-size daybed. In all this there's lots of cozy comfy spaces to help you relax after a day of exploring. Large windows give panoramic views that go on forever. The east facing windows take in the magnificent desert sunrise and a view of Copper Mountain. See the JT village lights twinkle in the night or gaze up at the countless stars and see the Milky Way.
Sit out on the front porch or gaze through the huge picture window for a view over the Village of Joshua Tree. The kitchen window and back patio look out onto rugged BLM land that borders the National Park. The back patio has a gas BBQ grill and a picnic table that's ready to go for your outdoor cooking and dining.
The entire house has been uniquely remodeled for a clean modern feeling while preserving aspects of the houses' 1950's vintage. Tastefully furnished with modern vintage pieces and artwork made by local artists. The roomy kitchen is well equipped with lots of cooking supplies and new appliances- gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen table expands to seat 10 people.
Family Friendly: I can provide a Graco Pack 'n Play, a child booster chair and a small step stool so children can use the bathroom sink. Let me know if you want to use these and I'll put them out for your stay.
Hi-speed Wifi Internet also included. The central heating and AC system heats or cools the house quickly. Linens and towels are provided. There is a high quality front load washer and dryer.
For a nearby adventure, just a short hike, is a not so well known place called Coyote Hole. There you'll find Native American petroglyphs and a small canyon with a natural spring. Coyote, bobcat, and even a mountain lion have been reported to roam this area.

Joshua Tree Village downtown is a unique locally owned and artist inspired area. Be sure to take some time to explore the many interesting shops and eateries along the Highway. There is an excellent Certified Farmers Market happening on Saturdays 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM when the downtown is at it's most lively and you can get a taste of the local community flavor.
There is a bus line running along Hwy 62 with access to Yucca Valley and 29 Palms.
If you need any flexibility with the check in/out time I may be able to allow earlier check-in or later check-out depending on bookings. Check my airbnb calendar and give me a call or text. If the days are unavailable before or after your reservation then I most likely will not be able to be flexible as I will have very limited time to prepare the house between guests. If you would like to extend your stay, please check my calendar for availability before contacting me.
Four night minimum booking for Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE and Three night minimum for Easter, Memorial Day, and Labor Day holidays.
Off street paved parking. Back private patio with a large gas stainless BBQ, cafe hanging lighting and large outdoor dining table for 10. Fire pit area with several chairs that's perfect for a warm fire and stargazing.
The house and property are all yours, I won't be there during your stay. Your choice if you would like me to meet you for a house tour and to answer any questions you may have in person. I live nearby and will quickly fix any issues that may arise.
If you have interest to explore the area outside the park I have many suggestions including the Noah Purifoy 2.5 acre sculpture site, the Sky Village Swap Meet open on weekends or a tour of the "Jackrabbit Homestead" cabins. Ask me for details.

Photo of drivers license that matches name on reservation must be emailed to host for security. Laundry and general cleaning is included. Please clean and put away dishes and put back furniture and other items where they were. Leave the house in the same condition as you found it.
I know that 99% of my guests are very respectful of the property but the potential for problem incidents require me to be specific with what is expected who renting the home.
-If you find any item in the house damaged, let me know immediately. You are responsible for the replacement cost of any broken or damaged items during your stay (i.e. Burned frying pan). Report any damage immediately as I will need time to find a replacement for the next guests.
Because of spring rains and extreme heat there is lots of dry grass and a huge fire risk. We are in a complete fire ban put in place by the local fire department for the entire area in place till Octob(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). No outdoor fires and absolutely no fireworks of any kind. Only gas grill is allowed. Neighbors will call fire department if they see fireworks or smoke. There will be a large fine if the fire department shows up with their fire truck.
-No smoking indoors. Place cigarette butts in provided cans outside.
In order to respect the residential quality and safety of the neighborhood and not upset the neighbors:
-Outdoor quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Any loud talking and amplified music during this time must be kept indoors with doors and windows closed. Please respect the neighborhood and understand that noise carries long distances in the quiet desert.
-No fireworks of any kind.
-No firearms on property unless kept locked in vehicle. It is illegal to discharge firearms on the property or in BLM land near the house.
-No off-road vehicles operated on the property. Off-road vehicles are not legal to operate on neighborhood dirt roads outside of designated OHV areas.
-Fire is only allowed in enclosed fire pit and on non-windy nights.
Unless owner is notified and agrees to in advance in written form:
-No remote controlled aircraft (quadcopter, etc.) flown over or used to film neighboring property.
-No photography, film or video for commercial, professional or student use is permitted on the premises. If you wish to film professionally on the property I would like to know the specifics of the project and have a contract with these details.
-No third party bookings.
-No more guests are allowed on the property for a gathering than the number indicated and paid for on the booking details
-Only the number of guests indicated on the reservation are allowed to stay or visit at the house.
Any violation of these rules may be subject to additional fees, immediate expulsion from premises and/or legal action.
Any cost incurred by a visit from the fire department for a guest caused incident is to be paid by the guest.
For guest security and property protection the outdoor parking area is monitored with a motion detection video camera.

Desert enthusiast, photographer, creative person and Joshua Tree hugger. I am a local full-time resident and I love the Joshua Tree area. I personally rehabbed, restored, decorated and lived in the homes that I now offer to you for a true locals experience. I'm involved in most of the local community activism, working to preserve the JT rural community character.
