I had a fantastic time in the city, and i found Manoli's room / flat to be perfect for my needs. I arrived and it was exactly as described. Manoli and her daughter were prompt and helpful in their communication and flexible in terms of arrival (I was able to drop my bags off early, etc). I highly recommend. Note: one of the other reviewers complained about not feeling welcome. I did not feel this way in the slightest - again I highly recommend this option if the description matches your needs.

THE PROS: Manolis place was the best location! She honored my late check in, however due to the language barrier, she had another lovely guest help direct me to the home. The room was fine, a bit stuffy and warm (no fans, and located in the 6th floor). I only stayed for Two nights and that was more than enough. I love her apartment, the old elevator was my favorite part ! She was nice and have me privacy . THE CONS: she is VERY NOISY in the morning. This was my first shared Airbnb and I most likely won't do it again (everything else was booked and/or too pricey ). She has aloud voice that carries and you can hear everything . The kitchen is next to the room, so the fish and onion smells were not pleasant. ALSO, check out time is at noon, and I returned at 11:35 to find the next guest changing in my room, with all my luggage still inside!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. He was very nice, however, I don't appreciate a stranger in my room before I had to check out !!! Don't let that happen again. Ultimately, this place gets 3 stars, mainly due to the location and elevator .

Un habatacion excelente. Manoli was so kind, and even though my Spanish isn't great, we were able to communicate. We had everything we needed, and Gros is such a cool neighborhood. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL. Muy bonita. Close to great restaurants and bus line. 12-15 minute walk to La Concha or Part Vieja. Highly recommend.

Manoli's apartment is in a beautiful area within walking distance to all the major attractions. Her home is extremely clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and airy. She was a lovely host. Thanks again.

I think this is the quickest I have ever reviewed a stay with airbnb. I have mixed feelings about our stay with Manoli. The review is long-- so here's the TLDR if you don't want to read it all... House was great, location was fantastic, but the host made us feel very unwelcome. I wouldn't necessarily advise against staying here, but I personally would not stay here again. Stay here only if you have some Spanish skills and think you can put up with an intense host who wants things done exactly her way. To start with the good: The apartment is in a fantastic location, I can not emphasize that enough. We were 2 minutes walking from Zurriola beach- famous for its great surfing; 10 minutes from old town, where most of the sights are; and about 15 from the famous la concha beach. The room itself was well equipped with everything we needed, and the bathroom (though shared) was nicely sized. The neutral: To reiterate what has been said in many of the reviews, Manoli does not speak a word of English. This is not at all a negative, but makes it somewhat difficult to communicate if you don't speak Spanish. My Spanish skills are pretty basic, but I was able to communicate with her for the most part. The not-so-good: The host, Manoli, is VERY 'intense' (to put it nicely). I felt very unwelcome in our Airbnb and tried my best to avoid contact with the host. At first, she was very welcoming and happy to have us-- but after the first couple of hours she seemed impatient and upset that we weren't aware of all of her house rules and how exactly she likes things done. Even though she never went over many of her house rules with us. It seemed that over and over, there was something we did that she was not happy with. She communicated this to us, only in Spanish, very intensely and repeatedly. For example, while taking a shower one day, I closed the window in the bathroom as I didn't want people to see me from outside. I didn't think to re-open the window, and Manoli practically flew into the bathroom after my shower telling me that I must close the window after my shower. Her apartment has a very vintage elevator, that you must close all the way before another individual can use it. I have never used one of these elevators. One night, we accidentally left the door partially open and we're scolded by Manila for doing so. In another incident, we were told to hang our towels on the rope outside after we shower. This is totally understandable, seeing as how she also had a sign in English on the door telling us to do so. However, after I washed my hands, I used one of the towels to dry my hands and placed it back on top of the other towels in our room. It didn't...

คำตอบจาก Manoli:
Definitely, you are a young traveller, not very used to the Airbnb system and to each house's rules. I can understand that as I didn't want to follow any rules at the age of 18. Also I can understand that you are used to hotel services and not so prompt to the Sharing philosophy.

This is more like staying at a bed and breakfast, but without the breakfast. Location is just across the bridge from old town and the flat is adorable. Manoli is so sweet and charming, but she is living there so you will have a very friendly host but not as much privacy in this adorable apartment.

Perfect room for a weekend in San Sebastián! Centrally located, nice room and kind hosts. 5 minute walk to surfing beach and 15 minute walk to the most famous beach (La Concha) Would recommend to anyone! Habitación perfecta para un fin de semana en San Sebastián! Muy céntrica y puedes caminar a todas las cosas famosas de la ciudad. También las anfitrionas son muy simpáticas.
