We are Eco minded people who love sharing our beautiful place with people. Our shack is perched on top of a hill and although basic it has some of the best views of the region. It has one living room and one large bedroom which comfortably sleeps 4. At just 90 minutes from Melbourne and a stones throw from Heathcote wineries its a great get away. We have 50 acres of mostly untouched bushland with spectacular views, bush and wild life.
The shack is surrounded by bushland with the verandah looking out over the ranges. If you want remote and feeling like you are connected to nature this is the place to go. Watch the stars at night by a toasty fire. During the day sit out watching the birds fly over the trees. Take a picnic up to the top of the property and sit and take the spectacular views in. Watch the sun set and the colours reflect off the dam and through the trees.
Currently there is no running water. We have a small solar light system that will also charge smart phones. There is a compost toilet and a space for a bucket shower. There is a wood heater for those chilly nights. We have a portable stove for cooking. Outside is a fire pit with a rocket stove.
The entire property. There is currently no water. Guests will have to bring their own water and food. There is a portable stove, plates, bowls and cutlery you can use. You can light a fire in the fire pit outside. There is a wood heater inside. Wood is provided in the shed for your convenience.
We will be accessable by phone if problems arise. We will not be at the property to greet guests. We will provide clean bedding, coffee, tea and milk. We will leave you to explore the property as there is nothing like connecting to nature on your own.
The shack is basic and there is currently no shower. You will need to take your own drinking water. If you are ok with roughing it a little for beautiful surrounds and getting into nature this is the place for you. Sheets and bedding provided.
We are eco minded. What you bring in, you take out. We expect our guests to appreciate the land and nature like we do. We have a compost toilet. Its easy to use and helps the environment! Please no hunting on the property. There is a large dam 150 metres from the shack. Please be aware if you have small children.
I am a nature loving traveller who loves creativity, art, dance and yoga. I also enjoy hiking and love diversity and having different and varied experiences. I have a tendency to want to explore many spectrums of life and living. I also love to laugh!
