Katy, we always strive to make every guest’s stay an enjoyable, smooth and memorable one, as evidenced by our 425+ top-star reviews. It was our pleasure to accommodate all of your special requests throughout your stay, including: arranging the extra early check-in you requested, helping you find options for transportation to the Coachella Music Festival, helping you locate where you could buy the super soft bathrobes & sheets that you fell in love with & asked about during your stay, etc. You were so sweet to take the time to text us with such high praise about our home & your stay.
We feel so terrible that it seems to have put such a damper on your otherwise amazing experience, when the one request you made, which sadly we could not accommodate, was to allow you to invite in new guests beyond the 6 max people that were approved and agreed on when you booked our rental. We now see from your truly surprising feedback that not allowing the extra people really angered you.
We understand that every now and then, when one small detail cannot be accommodated, that this can upset the renter to the point of making them feel compelled to post a negative review. We try not to take it personally or blame the guest.
But we do feel the need to make it VERY CLEAR to you Katy, and to everyone, that there are NO cameras inside the condo, nor have there ever been, nor will there ever be! It is our understanding that it is illegal to have cameras inside of a rental property, and that is something that we would never do, as we consider that a total invasion of privacy!!!! Obviously, you never saw any cameras inside of the home because it is impossible to see something that simply does not exist. Hopefully when others read your review and see that it’s the ONLY one that has ever made this accusation they will understand that you were just making up a list of negative things to say, out of anger over not being allowed to invite in the extra people that you wanted to come stay with you.
We truly do wish that we could have allowed this, but there are indeed real CC&R rules, as well as city ordinances, which do limit the number of guests that it is legal to have in a rental property, based on the number of bedrooms in the home. Anyone can look these ordinances up online.
We do appreciate all of the kind things you said about our property via text throughout your stay, and regret that this one small issue ended up upsetting you to the point of making you feel compelled to post such a disheartening review. Clearly, even you would have to agree that it is not a true reflection of our property or your experience.
We always want every minute of each guest’s stay to be nothing short of amazing!!
