Cosy and comfortable retro house set amidst beautiful gardens and orchard and surrounded by green hills, giant ferns and rainforest, yet only 5 mins drive from Apollo Bay's pristine beach and township. It is quiet and private, has a well equipped kitchen and all bedrooms and living areas have garden views. Paradise!
Our house is an old forest/beach getaway. The house is our much loved piece of paradise and is private, cosy, clean and the kitchen is wonderfully retro. It does need some renovating and painting outside but it is furnished tastefully and its well equipped for a relaxing and memorable 'get away from it all' getaway. It is nestled in the valley behind Apollo Bay on the edge of the Barham River. All rooms have wonderful garden views and theres an abundance of bird life. In fact, the garden has a resident Bower Bird which can often be seen collecting "blue treasures" to take back to its nest to attract the female Bower Birds. Our house provides quietness and privacy and yet it is a mere 5 minutes drive from the beach and cafes of Apollo Bay and also from the Great Ocean Road and all its attractions.
You will have access to the whole house and garden. No access to outdoor garage/workshop however.
The house relies on tank water so we ask guests to be mindful of their water use, particularly during the summer months.
Have fun and relax but please respect our beloved place and treat it as you would your own house. We are happy for your pet to stay too as long as they are well behaved, house trained and are kept off the furniture and their messes are cleaned up. The house is on acreage with farm fencing so dogs need supervision whilst outdoors. There is a dog bed in the laundry which you are welcomed to use. Strictly no smoking inside the house.
Feel free to contact us should any house related problems arise. Our mobile numbers are on a note on the fridge door.
My husband and I love Apollo Bay and it's surroundings. We love having the beach and the rainforest all in the one place. We love our cosy, relaxing, private house and the garden surrounding it and call it our 'little piece of paradise'
