Enjoy the comforts of home in this stunning 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, beach house. Casa Rio is a quick five-minute walk to Rio Del Mar beach. We can accommodate up to 6 adults and 2 children 12 and under - no more than 8 guests total EVER.

This sophisticated, modern beach home is a quick five-minute walk to the sands of Rio Del Mar State Beach, or a short hop to golfing, hiking, or mountain bike riding. You'll enjoy the newly decorated, open floor plan living area, updated kitchen; free unlimited Wi-Fi and Internet TV. Longer term rentals are also available. Inquire for the best long term rates.
The living room is comfortably furnished and features a 50 inch flat screen TV, and Internet ready DVD so you can stream or use your own programming. In addition, the entertainment system includes a Samsung AirTrack audio sound bar for enjoying your own music or music services through the internet. Board games and books are also available for your enjoyment. Cozy up on the comfortable sectional sofa or recliner in front of the remote-controlled gas fireplace after a day at the beach or in the forest. The living room and dining area open to redwood decks overlooking the back garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal or keep take-out warm. You’ll find an indoor JenAir grill in the kitchen, a Weber kettle grill on the patio just steps away from the kitchen, and an outdoor fire pit in the back garden.
The home features 3 well-appointed bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Luxury thread count linens, fluffy bath and beach towels are all provided. The upstairs master bedroom includes an organic foam California King size bed, in-suite master bathroom, internet TV and DVD player. On the first floor you’ll find both organic foam mattresses in the Queen bedroom and bedroom with 2 cozy twin beds. An indoor Whirlpool HE washer and dryer are both available for your use.
The mid-century architecture has a reverse floor plan: at the top level are the dinning room, kitchen, half-bath, and master bedroom and bath, 3 steps down is the living room. The lower bedroom level with two bedrooms and a full bath is 11 steps down. The entry is 6 steps down from the lower level. This home is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

You'll have a unique entry code for the front and back doors. Codes are text to you prior to your arrival.

OUR HOME IS SMOKE FREE. We keep our home very clean but do allow well groomed and behaved pets at an additional fee. We'll talk to you about your pet prior to accepting them in our home. A $100 USD is added for hosting pets. Our Santa Cruz County TOT certificate number is CO00190. If you are interested in renting for a month or two, let us know.
When you book our home you are agreeing to the following rules;
1.Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere on the premises.
2.People other than those in the Guest Party may not stay overnight in the property.
3.This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4.The home is not “baby proofed” and has stairs.
5.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not rearrange furniture, other than chairs or ottomans, it may cause damage to the furniture or home. DO NOT tape, or fix things to the walls or appliances or sprinkle glitter or confetti in the house or yards.
6.QUIET HOURS are between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. If you do not comply with the “Limitations on “ noise (Santa Cruz County Code, Section 8.30.010) the county sheriff will be called for noise or illegal activities, and you will be immediately evicted and your lease terminated with no refunds of Rent, Tax, and Security Deposit.
7. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
8.Pets may be allowed. We charge $100 additional fee for pets. Prior to accepting your pet we'll have a few questions about their grooming. We do not advertise this home as “Pet free.” We have made every effort to insure that there is no pet hair or dander but cannot guarantee that the house is pet free for those with pet allergies.
9.Parking: Parking is limited to 4 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in the drive way or garage only. Parking on the road or landscaping is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
10.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. We provide bed linens and bath/beach towels. When you leave please place used towels in the bathrooms.
11.Fireplace: The fireplace is a remote controlled, sealed, gas log fired firebox. Please listen to the “beep” when you turn the fireplace off.
12.Water: Our home is on City water and sewer. Please try to conserve water. Santa Cruz County is in a water emergency (draught). Do not flush baby wipes down the toilets.
