Our cabin, perfect for the family, friends or a couple get away. The large deck overlooking the calm, non-sports lake is so peaceful. Evenings filled with bonfires & star gazing & the outdoor enclosed shower brings the up north feel to life (suggestion: bring flip flops and a robe). So extremely serene & relaxing for the outdoorsy person who doesn't fear a spider or two. The lake is shallow and typically not a swimming lake. Row boat and canoe are available to explore the lake.
Our cabin is very clean, cozy, quiet & comfortable. If you are not ok with wildlife, this is probably not for you. My husband is an avid hunter and our cabin boasts of his accomplishments. Deer, birds, etc. are hung throughout the cabin.
All areas of the cabin are yours to use! Cushions for chairs, fire pit , a wooden swing, roasting sticks, weber grill & charcoal/lighter fluid, a flag to hang by the road when you arrive (please take down when you leave), if interested, a dock to relax on, (the lake is a shallow non sports lake) games, DVD player, some movies & even a VCR player with LOTS of kids movies to entertain. We have a new flat screen, larger TV too!
My husband and I do not live close by but we will do all that needs to be done to make your stay most enjoyable & memorable. We are a phone call away if any suggestions etc. are needed.
Local beaches, Garland Resort, hiking, Tally's restaurant, known for there hamburgers and even a Moose lodge are within one mile of us. The Lodge, a great restaurant located on East Twin Lk (1 mile from us also) has THE best food, try the pizza, you will not be disappointed! We are 30 minutes from Gaylord which is great day getaway if it rains and we are 1 hour from Mackinaw. There are ice cream parlors, diners, antique stores, farmers markets, a grocery store, hardware store etc. all within a mile as well.
We expect the cabin to be left exactly like it was when you arrived. We are very clean people and besides certain weekends of the summer, we are there often. We ask that you respect our "HOME" as if it was your own.
You will want to bring bottled water for drinking as we just do not drink the sink water. The hot water has a bad smell :-(
We ask that if you do smoke, you do it outside and if you do smoke inside you could be charged an additional cleaning fee of $150.
We provide towels but not linens however there are blankets and pillows. Also we ask that any dishes dirtied be cleaned before leaving and that you dispose of your trash as there is no trash pick up.
Lastly, no pets, no smoking indoors and guests must be at least 21 years of age.
