Stephen was an excellent host, always quick to respond to messages and got in touch with us close to our arrival date to let us know how to check in which was very easy using the key lock box and also made checking out a dream. We even bumped into Stephen during our stay and had a quick chat - It was lovely to meet you Stephen!
The apartment was fabulous and you would be mad not to be bowled over by the incredible view as you walk into the apartment. The photo you see of the bridge is exactly the view you have from the river facing balcony and it really is stunning. We spent our first few hours at the apartment glued to the really comfy couch on the balcony with a glass of wine just watching all the boats go by and the CBD skyline - just fabulous!
We had everything we needed during our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was brilliant - had all the necessary cooking equipment and Stephens apartment even has its own bar you can help yourself to a drink or 2 from!
The location of the apartment was fantastic as we were only a 15 minute walk to the CBD. There is a supermarket just around the corner and plenty of dining out options too if you didn't want to wander into the city. We tried The Himalayan cafe and the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant - both were delicious. On the friday night of our stay we got the boat to Bretts Wharf and went to the 'eat street market' food festival held every weekend which I would defiantly recommend for a foodie alternative night out.
As first timers to Brisbane we were really unsure about which area to stay in and I'm so glad we chose Stephens place in New Farm. New Farm is a lovely, calm and peaceful part of the city. Close enough to enjoy all the wonderful things Brisbane has to offer but tucked away enough to enjoy a restful and relaxed evening after a day of sightseeing - we could couldn't recommend Stephens place more highly enough for a stay in Brisbane.
Thank You Stephen for such a memorable stay!
Hannah & Alex :)
