Large 2 bedroom bungalow backs on to the Bay of Quinte, steps from the bridge to Prince Edward County. See the sunrise through the bridge and enjoy the sunset over the Bay. Located a quick walk from Zwick Island park & waterfront bike trail.
Our home is a spacious 2 bedroom that overlooks the Bay of Quinte. With a large backyard and located beside a park, you have quiet and privacy for your stay. It's located on the bus line, and close to downtown Belleville shopping, pubs and restaurants. Just a fifteen minute walk to the Farmers Market. There is plenty of parking in our driveway.
We are also located 1 block from the bridge to Prince Edward county - 15 minutes to the wineries and 30 mins to Sandbanks provincial park.
There is a full kitchen and a full bathroom with tub and shower. You'll find the house stocked with fluffy, white towels, fresh linens, coffee, tea and other welcoming treats.
There is a t.v. with wifi and access to Netflix and for longer term guests, access to the washer and dryer if you request it.
Guests have access to the main floor of the house - bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen.
There is a tenant in the apartment downstairs but is rarely home when guests are. The entrance is completely separate & there are no shared spaces with the tenant.
We like to greet our guests in person but understand that travel plans can make for late arrivals so we don't mind leaving a key if you're arriving late. We are always reachable by phone while you stay and can offer ideas for hikes, bikes and wine tours.
The train line down near the water has a couple of CP trains a day but there are no whistles or horns. You will be able to hear them going by but no one has complained that the sound is disturbing. When we first arrived, we had to look out the windows to confirm there really was one passing. Some guests have remarked on the soothing, romantic rhythm.
This is our home ~ please treat it with respect & leave it the way you found it.
Feel free to use condiments / coffee cream if it's in the fridge so you don't have to bring them for a short stay.
We have a tenant downstairs; although they may not always be home, it's a good idea to keep the noise down after 11pm.
Please leave your pets at your house and no smoking in the house.
I LOVE to travel and when I can't, the next best thing is to host other travellers.
For 30+ years I've enjoyed travelling and meeting people and sharing our journeys.
We are always happy to share our experience and ideas with our guests... and eager to learn about theirs.
