This creative apartment located in the artistic and buzzy Darlinghurst neighborhood, is light-filled, has an incredible view and the ideal ambiance to spend your time with a great book, writing in your journal, playing the piano or relaxing over a tasty glass of vino or two. Ideal for the lone traveller or couple.
Located on a leafy cul-de-sac in the heart of Darlinghurst - one of Sydney's most vibrant and beloved neighbourhoods (okay, I’m a fan), this one-bedroom apartment is the perfect space from which to explore Sydney or while away an afternoon reading, writing, or playing the piano.
Positioned on the 6th floor of a security building, this apartment is bright and airy and filled with light thanks to the wall of north-facing windows offering extraordinary views of Sydney’s skyline and inner-city borough below.
In terms of layout, there’s the living room with piano, office workspace, coffee table, sofa (which turns into a king single sofa bed); the bedroom (double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps and limited wardrobe space), separate kitchen with all the mod cons and bathroom (bath/shower, mirrored vanity, hand-basin, toilet and bidet hose).
For convenience, a coin operated laundry with washer and dryer is located on the same level.
Amazing bars, cafes, restaurants, galleries and record stores are right at your doorstep.
Feel free to play my CDs and read my books too (just remember to return them).
If you like the idea of a tinkle on the piano or an afternoon soiree, be my guest - just refer to the house rules below. Many thanks.
Whenever possible I will meet you in person to handover the keys, help you with your luggage, suggest some rendezvous points and generally just make sure you're feeling all settled and happy etc.
This apartment isn't suitable for children.
If you require use of the sofa bed, I will charge you an extra $14 for the additional laundry costs.
I've had a lot of fun in this space and am really excited about sharing it with likeminded humans.
To ensure we both have a positive experience, please follow the house rules below:
To avoid irreplaceable breakages, please refrain from handling the many ornaments and other precious objects I have on display around the apartment.
Please do not place any drinks or liquid of any kind on, or near the piano.
If you do play the piano, please respect my neighbours and play between the hours of 10am and 8pm only.
Sorry, no parties in the apartment.
You are welcome to read my books but please return whatever you borrow.
If you break something, please let me know as soon as possible.
Most importantly, please treat my place and everything in it with love and respect!
My name's Daz. I’ve lived much of my adult life in Darlinghurst, a super vibrant and cosmopolitan neighbourhood of Sydney’s inner-city.
If, like me, you’re into art, music, diversity and coffee, you’re bound to dig Darlinghurst just as much as I do.
My one bedroom apartment is located on a quiet and leafy cul-de-sac right in the heart of this sought after and buzzy suburb. Its location gives me the pleasure and convenience of being able to walk pretty much anywhere and everywhere I want to be. From CBD offices to the Royal Botanic Gardens, record stores, galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants - they are all within spitting distance or just a dreamy stroll away.
The view from this space is extraordinary and as I spend a lot of time working on creative projects from home, being able to take in the Sydney skyline, the golden hue of the sunrise and blush of sunset, has made it very difficult to imagine living anywhere else.
The work I do means that I'm often away, so I'm looking forward to sharing my space with likeminded humans for up to a fortnight at a time.
Any questions about the neighbourhood or the space, please say 'hi!'
