Bayside Cottage is a private, water's edge property set on a beautiful flower farm with a stunning mountain backdrop. Walk out the door for a swim, kayak or a stroll along the beach. In the evenings, sit by the fire and watch exquisite sunsets over the Kaimai Mountain Range. Located close to Tauranga (20 mins), the cottage allows you to mix up your stay with city life. Bayside Cottage is an ideal sanctuary for romantic get-aways, fun times with friends or a relaxing family retreat.
The accommodation has 2 separate spaces; the main cottage has two adjoining bedrooms (one single, one double) both with quality latex mattresses and new linen. There is a separate room at the back of the cottage with 2 new single beds and new linen. The room at the back houses laundry facilities, the shower and toilet facilities and the self-contained bedroom. The cottage is rustic but renovated, beautifully furnished, and has new kitchen appliances. The outdoor patio is tiled and has a waterproof cover to allow outdoor living to be maximised. Teak outdoor furniture is provided and the patio space is perfect for barbecues (a quality barbecue is provided).
The kitchen has a daybed looking out to the water and a large family dining table. There is comfy furniture in the lounge - you can put on a movie (there is a dvd player and movies provided) or relax and read a book. Wireless internet access is also available. Enjoy a kayak on the bay (there are three) or stroll out the door for a swim. Bring your fishing rod and try for snapper, kingfish and other types of fish. You might also like to have a walk around the flower farm and pick citrus fruit or plums if they are in season. There is a fire-pit by the waterside, and firewood supplied. Light the fire, pour a sun-downer and relax while watching amazing sunsets. The nearest shops are at Bethlehem and the city of Tauranga is about 20 mins away.
The cottage is on a block of land and is totally self contained. It's a very private location with beach frontage. The water's edge is 5 meters from the door.
The cottage has a manager who will greet guests and help them settle in. They will be available to assist on a needs basis and be contactable via mobile.
Visitors are advised to stop for groceries on the way in at either Bethlehem or Katikati.
Travellers with luggage can store their luggage in the boatshed which is a dry space to maximise the internal space.
