Háigarður was originally built in 1925. It has all necessary facilities without loosing the old charm. Nestled below the church in Vík, with a short walk to the black beach and Reynisdrangar, restaurants, shop and the swimming pool.
This apartment is on the second floor, both apartments are Airbnb rentals. This apartment has two bedrooms one with king size bed, kitchen, bathroom, living room (tv, dvd, wi-fi) and laundry w/washer&dryer downstairs, free parking. Great view from the balcony.

Háigarður was originally built in 1925 and doubled in size in 1950. The house has been owned by the same family and always kept in a good condition.
The flat on first floor is 75 square metres.
The entrance is on the first floor, first is a small hallway with a coat rack. Entering from the hallway you have the conventional inner hall with doors to all rooms. On the right you have both bedrooms, one with king size bed and wardrobe and other with two single beds and a drawer. On the left you have a fully equipped kitchen, including fridge, microvawe, conventional oven and a stove. The bathroom has a shower, closet and mirror, and a window and the living room is very cosy with a retro style sofas and TV/dvd and view over the cliffs Reynisdrangar.
Laundry room downstairs down a small&rather steep stair. The laundry and utilities (washing machine & dryer) are shared with the flat downstairs.
Front yard and back yard shared by both apartments available for guests, chairs and small table on the veranda in front of the apartment. Parking permitted in front of the house.
Our summer house is behind Háigarður and there is always the possibility of meeting me or part of my family. We are ready to assist our guests, recommend restaurants or activities in Vik or nearby, or help with other advise, but most of the time interaction will be through email where we aim to respond quickly.
Please note that Háigarður was built in 1925, the house has timber floor so please keep music levels down and don't stomp on the floor as noise travels in this old house.
Our properties are registered and have a permit.
We do not allow smoking due to risk of fire and inconvenience. If we find out guests have been smoking we will allow our self the right to charge for additional costs of cleaning the house and linen.
Please respect our old family home and be considerate to guests in the flat downstairs.
Smoking is not allowed nor open flame (candles etc). - breaking that rule may incur penalty fee
Leave the radiators on and turned at almost 20C.
Please use the hot water with care, Vík is heated with electricity and hot water is expensive.
Please leave the windows shut and outdoors locked when you leave the house.
Leave the house in the same condition as when you arrived.
Please take care when using the stairs to the washing room.
The washing room is shared with the downstairs flat, please be considerate to need of other guests.
Please remove shoes inside the house.
When you check-out, please leave the keys on the kitchen table.
