This unit is located on the 4th floor, in the South Tower of the Anah Building. There are two large bedrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second, with a king and queen size bed respectively. Each bedroom has a TV and a bathroom; the upstairs suite is connected to the private rooftop space.

The spacious living room has a sectional couch, TV with cable and DVD Player. The kitchen is well stocked pots and pans, dishes and utensils to cook any meal you wish.

ELECTRICITY CHARGES: In order to keep our prices low, 20 kW(Nov-May)/30 kW(June-Oct) per day are included in the price, for stays up to one week. After that, the guest is responsible for the electricity charges, at $0.35 per kW. To avoid extra charges & be at ease, we recommend to set the AC at 25 degrees. The extra fee is usually only charged to those staying longer than a week. Often the cost is around $5-7 per day if there is a charge.

IMPORTANT NOTE re Jacuzzi: The private rooftop Jacuzzi’s in this complex utilize the same small water heater as is used for the condo so when filled, the water is temperate. Additionally, the design of the Jacuzzi is not intuitive so please let us know in advance (before arrival) if you would like the jacuzzi filled. Finally, as water in Playa has been privatized and the new company has dramatically increased rates, we must charge for the second filling.

Keys will be available at the front desk, under the same name the reservation was made under. Free parking in an underground garage can be accessed from Calle 14 BIS. Guests have access to all amenities in the complex.

For safety reasons, after 10pm, only guests with wristbands are allowed to enter the condo building.

We live in town, and are available should you need anything. We also have good tips for your stay, like where to eat, shop and how to get around, as well as suggestions for great companies for tours and transportation. All of this information will be sent once the reservation is made.

There are two grocery stores nearby, Mega and DAC. Mega (regular grocery store) is located on Constituyentes and 30th (two blocks away). DAC, know for carrying unusual ingredients, fresh vegetables, fruits and some basic necessities is located on 30 Avenida and Calle 20 (St), two blocks north, and two blocks west.

- The common washer and dryer is 100 pesos per use, to be paid to the reception desk.

- The rooftop pool of the building closes at 8pm, for safety reasons, after 10pm, only guests with wristbands are allowed to enter the condo building.

- Please treat the unit as if it were your own. Be thoughtful and respectful of other guests and condo owners in the complex. No Smoking inside the condo. Please do not leave the AC on if you are not in the unit, electricity is very expensive*. Keeping curtains closed while out, will help keep the unit cool.

- Lost beach towels are charged at $20 USD each

Awesome stay! Condo was clean and supplied beach towels which is a plus. Location was perfect it was walking distance to the beach. I would definitely book again.

It was the first time my friends and I had gone on vacation out of the country without our parents and we felt safe the entire time. We were interested in the night life and the location of the condo was only a few blocks away and we would walk the whole time because the streets were lit very well. We did a few excursions and they knew right where to pick us up from. You can't have visitors 10 pm to 8 am which was good for us because it made our parents feel better about letting us go alone and also it made the trip more enjoyable because we didn't have to worry about noise. They had beach towels so we didn't have to use our own and they had kitchen wear so we didn't have to worry about buying disposable. They also provided a certain amount of toilet paper and soap which lasted us the entire stay of six days. Any question I had I would ask Kelly and Jacque and they would respond immediately and it was very convenient because I had a lot of questions. Over all this was a great location and Kelly and Jacque were great hosts. We are already planning our next trip to stay there!!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Playa del Carmen. The condo is very centrally located, yet just far enough away from the hubbub to be relaxing. We were able to walk everywhere without difficulty, including the 5th Ave shopping and restaurants, and the various beaches along Playa's shore. It's very close to the Mega supermarket, so it's easy to grab whatever you need. There's also a great little cafe just down the street if you want to go out for breakfast. The condo is well-appointed and very comfortable. We spent many evenings on the private deck off the upstairs bedroom. The rooftop pool is also great--it never was crowded while we were there and it was a wonderful place to cool off at the end of the day. We had a little problem with appliances at the beginning of our stay, but our hosts were easily reached and the problem was fixed quickly. Jacque is very professional and responsive--We felt she really cared that we had a great time. We definitely recommend this place for a great Playa vacation!!

Fast and friendly service, amazing roof top pool, and efficient staff made our stay very enjoyable. The hosts are fast with any questions or concerns we had. You should definitely consider this option!

Had an amazing stay here, and Kelly was the best host we could possibly ask for. Incredibly responsive, even from weeks prior to our arrival. Everything was exactly as you see in photos. The location is ideal, just a short walk away from 5th avenue and convenient stores! The front desk is also very helpful in arranging tours and attending to any concerns. Laundry in the building however is faulty and takes a really long time.

We have since removed laundry facilities from our listing, as there have been many complaints and the building has not replaced the machines. There are several machines in the building that can be used, but do take a long time to dry. Sorry for that inconvenience. Glad you had a great time!

The overall stay at ANAH was good but with a few issues. First the Pros: The reception at Anah front desk was very friendly when we arrived. ANAH building is in a location that is convenient to 5th avenue without being right on top of all the action and noise. Grocery shopping is close by. DAC was a great recommendation and Sapori di casa was a very nice little Italian import store one block from ANAH. Other restaurant recommendations were appreciated too -Como Como, La Fisheria, La Vagabunda . We always felt safe while on and around the ANAH property and used the parking garage underneath for our rental car. Correspondence with Kelly and Jacqueline was always prompt leading up to and during the stay. We have experienced many delinquent property owners in the past, so that was very much appreciated. WiFi was good and no issues. The first floor bedroom and bathroom are very nice and spacious. Rooftop pool was very enjoyable and never too much of a crowd. The Cons: No ability to do laundry. Laundry was listed in the amenities and I had even inquired further about it before we rented. Each of the 4 floors of ANAH South has a common use washer/dryer and found out none were in service by going floor to floor with an armful of dirty laundry. “Temporarily” out of service signs were taped to the machines. The signs were beat up and yellowed and thinking nothing temporary about it. Another issue was the many references to the price /KWh of electricity in Playa. The air conditioning and power consumption are part of the contract, were referenced in correspondences leading up to our stay and discussed day two in person with Jacqueline when she introduced herself and was there for a meter reading…Then notification on a Monday at 2PM during a Wednesday to Wednesday stay that we are substantially over average usage. We were told we would be kept apprised of usage. I would say being kept apprised would have been on Friday or Saturday at the latest that we were using much more than allotted power. Again, it is all too much about KWh for a vacation for all involved. Charge $10 more up front per day, urge people to conserve and be green and forget about sending tenants spreadsheets of meter readings while on vacation. We owed an additional $70 in electricity consumption and credited $30 for the laundry inconvenience. The 2nd bedroom and bathroom are not as nice as the main floor. The 2nd bedroom pictures on Airbnb are not even of this unit and should be updated for accuracy. The lone bathroom pic on Airbnb is of the first floor bath. The 2nd bathroom had no towel bars or even a single hook to hang anything. That was really inconvenient. Kelly is aware and I was told hardware was ordered. This room faces South and at roof level. It was extremely hot in there and does not cool...

After 20+ years in banking and 12 in New York, I came to Playa del Carmen with my husband Agustin who is from Mexico City. I love the culture, the food and the sunshine here and enthusiastically encourage everyone I know to come visit the beautiful Caribbean sea just blocks from our apartments.

We love to travel and share travel stories with our guests! We call our style of traveling 'local' because we try to live as local residents albeit in the most interesting parts of the cities we visit. We stay in apartments more than hotels and spend our money on experiences more than things.

5 things I can't live without: yoga, visiting new places, long dinners with friends, my book club, spending time with family.

What you can expect when you stay with us: We work to provide 5 star experiences to our guests. To that end, we brought on board a Chicago transplant who we believe you will love as much as we do. Jacque has lived in Playa for 3 years. She is thoughtful, resourceful and super focused on the well being of our guests. You will hear from both of us before and during your stay.
