Mosier Cottage is a historic home that dates back to 1883 with a desire for entertaining. With 3000 square feet, six bedrooms, two and a half baths, the cottage can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests. The kitchen fully is stocked with everything you need to serve meals in our indoor and outdoor eating areas.
In addition to the main house, there is a separate area which houses a workout room/ yoga studio.
Mosier Cottage stands proudly on approximately two and a half acres right alongside a nature preserve. The grounds offer a walking path to the lake, new garden with a stone labyrinth, an outdoor grill to cook, and a fire pit to build memories around every night.

At Mosier Cottage Vacation Rental we have worked to establish a quiet and relaxing place for you to spend your vacation and we hope your experience will bring you back again and again. Mosier Cottage is smoke-free. No smoking is permitted.
There is a 3-7night minimum stay requirement for all reservations.
Depending on season. June through August must have a 7 night stay
Mosier Cottage pets are not allowed.
Guest Occupancy Registration and Agreement
The Guest making an advance lodging reservation and identified as the Occupant of Premises on the Guest Occupancy Agreement (Agreement) must be an adult 25 years old or older and must be an occupant
All additional occupants must be listed as registered guests on the Agreement. Maximum occupancy for Mosier Cottage is 12 persons, or a guest is defined as any person, of any age, who will be staying on the premises. Adherence to occupancy limits will be strictly enforced. Absolutely no partying is permitted at any time.
Advanced Lodging Pre-payments
Prepayment is required at the time the reservation is made.
Reservations for Mosier Cottage are often made weeks and months in advance, which prevents our Vacation Rental from being available for other potential guests to book. Cancellations made at the last minute therefore block revenue for us for those dates.
Your reservation is an agreement to stay at Mosier Cottage on the date that you have selected. There is 100% refund with 30 days advance notice. With less than 30 days notice, we will immediately re-list the property and try to re- book as many days as possible and refund up to 100%.
In the unlikely event that we have to make any changes to confirmed reservations, we will advise you at the earliest possible date and attempt to locate another nearby location for your stay. In the event we are unable to make available Mosier Cottage Vacation Rental, liability as a result of these conditions is a full refund of money previously tendered by Guest. Guest expressly acknowledges that in no event shall Mosier Cottage be held liable for consequential damages.
Check-in time is 3 p.m. Early Check-In at 1 p.m. is contingent upon the home being cleaned and ready, and must be approved by Mosier cottage in advance of arrival.
Occupants must Check-Out no later than 9a.m. in order for us to prepare the home for the next guest.
Guests are asked to do their own dishes, take all food from the refrigerator, bag all trash and place in trash receptacle. Leave all keys in the unit and lock all doors and windows upon departure.
Mosier Cottage will be cleaned and inspected prior to your stay. Clean linens (sheets and towels) are provided, as well as a supply of paper, soap products, and basic cleaning supplies. Please contact us if anything has been inadvertently overlooked and we will correct it.
Use of Unit & Security of Unit
Occupants agree to comply with the Mosier Cottage Vacation Rental instruction listed in this agreement, posted on premises and listed in the Guest Directory. Mosier Cottage may not be used as a place for commerce. Mosier Cottage is located in a residential setting and Occupants must adhere to a 10 p.m. quiet time. No parties or excessive noise is permitted.
Guest are asked to examine the Unit UPON ARRIVAL and to immediately report any and all damage(s) observed to Mosier Cottage
Guest is responsible for the security of the Unit and its contents, and any personal property of guests during the stay. When home is unoccupied, doors must be locked and the outside light left on. Guest must leave the Unit in good condition.
Risks and Safety
FIRE SAFETY – No candles. Children must be supervised at all times.
Security and Damages
Guests are responsible for any and all damage they may cause during their stay or for items that are missing. Renter agrees that they are responsible to pay the full cost of replacement or repair of the damaged items.
Unauthorized Use and Eviction
Guests are subject to immediate eviction and removal from the Unit and Property if:
ï Smoking in the Unit
ï Pets are in the house or on the premises
ï Number of occupants exceeds the number of contracted guests
ï Complaints of noise, loud music, foul language or otherwise disturbing the peace of the neighbors are reported
The entire amount of rent will be forfeited if eviction occurs.
Occupant’s credit card will be charged if any of the following conditions occur:
ï If smoking has occurred in Mosier Cottage, there will be a $200 cleaning fee.
ï If pets have been brought into Mosier Cottage, there will be a $200 pet fee.
ï If the vacation rental requires extra cleaning due to filth or over-use of the Unit, a $45 per hour charge (1 hour minimum) will occur for the extra cleaning.
If Occupant or Guest notifies Mosier Cottage of a lost or left behind item at the home, and we find that item, we will mail that item to the Guest. Mosier Cottage does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Maintenance and Repair
Mosier Cottage strives to maintain its Vacation Rental in the finest condition. As such, it is the Guest’s (Occupant of Premise) responsibility to immediately notify us of any and all difficulties that they incur during their stay so that appropriate repairs/replacements can be scheduled and performed. Mosier Cottage will make every effort to repair/replace any item that is not working, but does not guarantee that the appropriate repair and/or replacement will be performed in a timely manner, for circumstances beyond our control. Items which do not warrant any refund of rental moneys include the following:
· Electronic entertainment including TV’s, DVD’s and radios and other recreational devices that breakdown during the guest’s stay
ï Power Outages
ï Adverse road conditions or weather conditions
Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
All Occupants/Guests use Mosier Cottage Vacation Rental at their own risk. Occupants agree to release the Property Owners of Mosier Cottage and to indemnify, defend and hold them harmless from all liability, claims and causes of actions whatsoever and from all damages to Occupant’s family, licensees, guests, invitees, and/or other persons or property occupying or utilizing the Premises during the term hereof which occur or arise as a result of the Occupant’s use or occupancy of the Unit or Premises. Occupants further agree to indemnify Management for any damages claimed, alleged or caused to Occupants or third parties by Occupant’s use or occupancy or the use of Occupant’s family, licensees, invitees, guests and/or third parties. By endorsing this Guest Occupancy Agreement, Occupant of Premise ), Guest(s) and/or Invitee(s) hereby forever hold harmless and indemnify Mosier Cottage Vacation Rental and its Property Owners from any liability/responsibility arising.
Intent of Parties
The parties to this agreement intend that the premises are to be utilized for temporary vacation occupancy and this agreement shall not substitute or create a Landlord/Tenant relationship as described by the Revised Code of Michigan et.seq. and the parties hereby waive any such relationship should it be deemed to apply.
Mariann teaches flow (vinyasa) based yoga with integrating alignment and fluidity with breath and meditation. She also teaches (Yin & Restorative) based yoga with the clear intention of opening and nourishing the body-mind. Her practice frequently includes meditation and energy work. Mariann's yoga is often taken off land where she teaches Paddleboard yoga and is a member of PSUPA. (professional stand up paddle association) She teaches at Pure Prana Yoga Studio/Prana Paddle in Lake Leelanau, Leland, Suttons Bay MI. Mariann currently has been certified in oncology yoga were she now teaches yoga and meditation for cancer patience at Munson Hospital. She leads workshops and adventure retreats worldwide.
