Located in bustling Newtown with many cafes and restaurants, we love our Victorian apartment for its original native timber character features and its striking stained glass details. The modern kitchen and bathroom are a joy. Great bus connections!
The house still has many of its original late 19th century wooden features and the pretty balcony provides a beautiful view over Newtown, the town belt as well as the Rimutaka's in the distance. The double room is small but cosy.
The room has direct access to the balcony, which you are very welcome to use. We share the backyard with the downstairs neighbours and you are welcome to use it, provided it's left tidy of course.
We have both travelled widely (domestically as well as internationally) and happy to help with tips for things to do in the city as well as with other travel plans around NZ/elsewhere.
We have a cat called Quin.
No smoking in the house. As we both work, some consideration around noise late at night :) No pets.
We are two professionals in our mid-thirties. We love traveling (backpacking, couch surfing, occasional resort) and the outdoors (hiking, diving, camping, cycling) so while we can't get out there ourselves we are keen to meet new people and hear their stories!
We're chilled out, don't watch tv except for the odd movie or series (Big Bang theory!) and we like our cat called Quin quite a lot.
Favourite destinations thus far must include Tonga, Japan, Vietnam and Tasmania. Plans are in the works to head over to South America!
We also love pancakes. A lot.
As we both work we keep regular hours but can be swayed for a glass of wine if it so happens.
