Large condo adjacent to the National Forest. You will not need your car to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer as you can walk or bike ride to a variety of recreation from several beaches, to numerous hiking trails, to historical sites and restaurants.

Pricing quoted includes the South Lake Tahoe City taxes @12% of the nightly rate. Cleaning and Pet fees are additive: Clean $100: Pet Fee $25.


Throughout most of the year, you will not need your car to enjoy much of what Tahoe has to offer! Outside the front door is access to: hiking trails; bike trails near Emerald Bay; beaches (Pope, Richardson, and Baldwin); the historic Tallac site; restaurants serving a variety of foods from Pub fare to Fine dining; and shopping and public transportation access at the nearby Y. The trail head for Fallen Leaf Lake is steps outside of the front of the condo. In winter, Heavenly Valley is 7 miles away; Homewood and Squaw Valley are approximately 20 and 25 miles respectively; and Kirkwood is 30 miles away. This unit and its location is very unique. From the front door or the back porch you can walk into the woods or bike ride or walk to the beaches nearby. Restaurants are very close, again in walking distance, along with other stores and services. In winter, you are well situated to ski at a number of venues, all within reasonable distances from this location. You can snow shoe or cross country ski right outside the front door! Covered Parking is at the condo front door. Well appointed, the unit can comfortably accommodate 2 to 4 guests. Pets *are welcome (limited to 2 and no more than 50 #s each) and bikes can be brought into the unit. The unit has been recently refreshed with new paint, vertical blinds and lighting fixtures. The St. Francis condo complex is very quiet. Come and enjoy your own walk in the woods!

*I only accept dogs in the unit and I do charge a $25 pet fee (not per dog). This is not in the rate but would be added by an amendment to the pricing.


The complex has a swimming pool and spa which is open from May to October. The unit also has a full size washer and dryer inside the unit. There is a pellet stove which is supplied with pellets and fire starters. In addition, there are two wall heaters with independent controls. The kitchen is fully outfitted with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils and even a crock pot. Free Internet, TV, and phone service is also provided. A keurig coffee maker is in the unit along with Pods. There is also a drip coffee maker if you choose to bring your own.


Inside the unit is a listing of the various restaurants that are nearby along with maps to the hiking and beach locations. The entrance to the bike trail is across the highway. If you are looking for recommendations of things to do or see, you can contact the owner ahead of time.


This unit is permitted by the city of South Lake Tahoe: permit numb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (a copy is posted inside the unit).

6. PETS are permitted only with prior approval and must be housebroken and supervised.
7. Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
8.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please do not remove towels or linens from the units. If you need any assistance, contact the housekeeper. Her name and phone number are in the guest book.
9. Fireplace: Instructions for use of the Pellet Stove are located in the Guest Instructions Booklet in the unit. If you have any questions or issues, contact the Housekeeper. Do not use anything other than that specified in the Pellet Stove Instructions in the guest instructions.
10.Owner requests that Guest(s) make every effort to respect the privacy of the other tenants in the complex. Keep noise to a minimum. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Mark's condo is very comfortable and clean. The location was great, easy to get to hiking trails, bike rental, resteraunts and great to look out the window and see forest.

Clean, comfortable, great location Condo development is a bit odd, but this unit is perfect to enjoy the location...S. Lake Tahoe, fallen leaf lake, desolation wilderness, etc. Very quiet

Our stay was great! We loved the location; it was away from the craziness of South Lake Tahoe and all the busy businesses, but still close enough that we were able to go out to eat when we wanted to. It was perfect proximity to many hikes and bike trails. Having wifi was great, especially since we didn't have any cell service in the condo! Check in and check out is a breeze. Altogether we have no complaints and really enjoyed our time in Tahoe!

Staying at Mark's vacation apartment was awesome. My boyfriend and I stayed while there was still snow and the mountains in the backyard/forest area worked as great slopes for us to sled on. The apartment itself was wonderful and comfortable with heaters in each of the essential rooms and the close location to 50 make it easy to get around South Lake Tahoe. Definitely would stay here again!

What a wonderful experience! Everything was taken care of and having a washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchen made our stay in South Lake Tahoe even better. Our group of four had comfortable quarters and every appliance and kitchen tool imaginable, from a veggie peeler to a toaster oven. Check-in was simple, and the condo was neat, adorably decorated, and conveniently located. I would stay here again and recommend it to all.

My favorite thing about this condo is that it's on the edge of town right next to a forest. I appreciated not being right in the middle of all the ski resort business. The town is small enough that if you want to go over there it's not a long drive. There are several restaurants just right down the street from the condo for easy meal options. Camp Richardson is just a few minutes down the road in the other direction which made for some great snowy hiking with our dogs. The condo itself is cozy and has everything you would need for a nice little weekend. The furnace and stove keep the place nice and toasty and there is covered parking for you. The check in and out process was super easy and communication with mark was readily accessible if needed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
