Lovely thatched cottage that can easily sleep four in the village of Petrockstowe.
Next to the gate of the 14th century St. Petroc's Church, twenty metres from the cosy village pub, The Laurels, and a short walk from the 30 mile long Tarka Trail.
My home, Church Gate Cottage, is a traditional 18th century thatched cottage in Petrockstowe.
Downstairs I have a well equipped kitchen, a bathroom with an electric shower, a dining room, a sitting room with a lovely fireplace to sit down and relax in front of.
The cottage sleeps four. The bedrooms can be configured as two doubles or a twin and a double. Please advise which suits you best. A fold up bed can be fitted in to one room if necessary (please select more than 4 guests).
Heating is via a bio mass pellet boiler.
Outside I have storage space, which can store multiple bikes, so this is ideal for people who have cycled from the Tarka Trail or want to go cycling around the area.
Guests will have access to the entire property. I do live at Church Gate Cottage when l don't have guests. Due to this a few of my personal things are around the house, but I have provided extra space for storage for guests.
I will probably be in the village throughout your stay and will be there to meet and greet you when you arrive. I will show you how to operate everything and will make sure you have my mobile number so that you can contact me at any time.
My only rule is no smoking. A well behaved dog is welcome but not on the furniture or in the bedrooms please. I would be grateful if the cottage is left as clean and tidy as you find it.
I live in a small village in North Devon close to both Dartmoor and the North Devon coast. I am reasonably well travelled having been to China and India as well as several trips taking in much of Europe.
