Our 1890's sailors house is well positioned 5 mins walk to the beach,the idyllic anchorage and in the heart of West Mersea village close to all the shops and restaurants.
We are a creative household and our eclectic house reflects our interests .
Mersea island is ideal for walkers, birdwatchers, sailors and was named in the Guardians top 25 places to visit in the world !
You can eat at the amazing Company Shed and feast on delicious fresh seafood.
Our home is an ecletic mix of antiques and artworks reflecting our creative household.
Mersea Island boasts miles of sandy beaches and and is wonderful for walking and boating.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and help yourself to tea,coffee and soft drinks whenever you wish. The room has its own en-suite. You are welcome to use the garden and if you wish to smoke you can do so there.
There are lots of books available to borrow whilst you are staying with us.
Wi-fi is also available.
Either Jay or myself will be available to give you local information on restaurants and pubs. We can also arrange boat trips on The Lady Grace, ideal for birdwatchers. If you are driving you can take advantage of our off-road parking and if you are arriving by public transport we may be able to arrange to pick you up or can give you details of local taxis or buses.
We provide tea, instant coffee and kettle in your room, but you can also use the kitchen if you wish.
We will provide a breakfast of artisan bread or croissants, cereals and fruit and will make you a pot of tea or fresh coffee. This will be served in the Snug or maybe in the garden if nice. We do not provide cooked english breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants locally where you can get one if you wish.
I am an artist, designer and teacher married to Jay who is a musician and producer.
We are lucky to live on fabulous Mersea Island in Essex.
We share our lovely 1890's sailors house with Dylan the cat and Issy the beautiful rescue dog !
