Nice 2 bedroom cottage that has been freshly upgraded. The kitchen was updated and the bathroom has a new shower and look. The house is on one of the best blocks of the best streets if you are a surfer or love nice walks on West Cliff Drive!!!


Sweet 2 bedroom 1.5 bath house. There are queen size beds in each bedroom. A nice living room, dining room and updated kitchen and bathrooms. Your located close to some of the best surfing in Santa Cruz. You can walk to the surf of Steamer Lane or Cowell's. You can walk to the Beach Boardwalk, wharf and downtown Santa Cruz. The kitchen is simple but well appointed. There is a TV room that has a 1/2 bath attached. The TV room is in a separate building off the back porch. Just a step away from the back door. There is a private backyard with a BBQ and an outside shower (hot and cold). Enjoy the quiet street in a great neighborhood.


You get the the front yard, house back patio and the TV room. There is a separate place at the back of the property that we share with family and friends. So you may see us going back there.


We are available via phone but do not live on site. We only live a few blocks away so if you need something please text or call!!


Landscapers come every other Thursday. If you are there on a Thursday you might see them and they may come into the back and side yards.

Check-in is 3:00 PM and Check-out is 11:00 AM.
1. No smoking on the premises.
2. Garbage goes into are smaller brown bin in the driveway. Recycle goes into the blue bin in the driveway. Please try to recycle as much as possible due to not having a lot of room for garbage. Recycle is cans, glass, cardboard, paper and plastic. (plastic bags must be put into one plastic bag before entering the bin)
3. Indoor furniture shall remain indoors. Outdoor furniture shall remain outdoors.
4. Renter's personal property must be taken with them upon checkout.
5. No late checkouts.
6. A maximum of 4 people are allowed to rent the house.
7. No loud or excessive noise past 10:00 pm.
8. Lock all doors and windows when the house is not in use.
9. Wash and put away all dishes prior to move out.
10. If you, your child or pet gets sick or wets the bed please wash and dry any linens, mattress pads or blankets. The cleaners are not allowed to touch any human or animal body fluid or waste.
11. No sand indoors. Please rinse off prior to entering the house.
12. There is a vacuum in the closet. Please vacuum up any pet hair before you leave to aid the cleaners. There is not time for them to do this and it could be an extra charge if not competed by the renter.
13. Report any problems immediately.
14. Most importantly--have fun and enjoy your stay!

We Loved this little house! Close to everything if you're a walker, and easy to drive to if you're not. Everything you could want and a short walk to the dog beach, lighthouse and pier. The bbq in the back yard was perfect for family dinners, (though the little kitchen and dining room are perfect too), and the back yard dining area and outdoor shower were just what you want when spending a beachy week in SC. The tv room area allowed for a separation of kids and adults for naps or movies, and the layout and location of the house are fab!

Our family loved our week in the surf cottage. The place is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The private, fenced-in patio in the back is like a bonus room, and we loved having our coffee and some of our meals out there. The "TV room" was the perfect way for our teenaged son to have his own space, so that was a great feature, too. The cottage is in a very quiet residential neighborhood just a short walk from scenic West Cliff drive and stairs down to a beach. It was also within walking distance to the Beach Boardwalk, wharf, and the Pacific Avenue mall (for us, at least -- a little over a mile to the wharf, a bit farther to Boardwalk, and a bit farther to mall). It was nice to have easy access to some of the bustling areas, but a very serene home base. Photos are accurate, though the place seemed even larger to us "in person." One thing I wasn't absolutely sure about from the photos was whether both of the bedrooms had doors that close -- they do. We used the TV room as a third bedroom, and let our older son sleep on the couch out there. (There was bedding out in that room available to use.) We were also really happy to have the outdoor shower -- it is a regular shower with hot water and a good showerhead. You could use it just for rinsing sandy feet, but the back area is quite private, so we used it, very comfortably, for complete showers after beach time. I made our reservation several months ahead, so I had forgotten that the check-in details were provided in the house manual, available to me through Air B-n-B once I had paid for the rental. When we first got there, I was a little confused about that, but checked the app on my phone and got it figured out pretty easily. (For other Air BnBs I've rented, check-in involved getting a text from the host the day of arrival, so this was a slightly different procedure. Just as easy, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else would face a similar short-term uncertainty about that.) The place really felt like home to us, and seemed a great bargain for the location and the amount of space we had.

Lovely wee cottage near beach front. Great Location for walking in to town. Kitchen well equipped but we did need to clean a lot of the crockery etc. Actual property itself very clean and comfortable. There is no washing machine which would have been useful.

This was a a great location at a good price. Perfect for my in law's visit. Everything was as pictured. We had a minor glitch upon arrival (the cleaners hadn't come) but the owner arrived immediately to take care of it. Sometimes its the glitches that give you insight to a good listing. I plan on returning. Thank you David!

Check-in was a breeze, and this was the perfect spot for our home base in SC. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was stocked with any equipment we needed, and the gas stove and BBQ out back make it feel like home! A wonderful, quiet place to come back to every evening!

Wonderful neighborhood location walking distance to one of the best Santa Cruz areas. Great walking, running at West Cliff, delicious fish at Riva Grill on the Wharf and a homey spot to relax. Cute home with everything you need for a great beach getaway. We loved it!
