A great location for sightseeing with a Hop On - Hop Off bus stop beside us (Stop 16) which goes to all the main tourist attractions including Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse, the Jameson Distillery, Temple Bar. €12 when booked online.
Relax and feel at home in this cozy and comfortable apartment in the heart of Ballsbridge Dublin, an area known for some of Dublin's best restaurants and bars and close to RDS, Aviva stadium, and UCD.
Well served by buses, DART and Aircoach.
We personally like to stay in cozy and comfortable surroundings and therefore have created a place we love being in. We like our creature comforts and little indulgences and have included these in our place. We collect antiques and art and you will see plenty of both here!
The living / dining area is a really lovely social space. The couch faces the fireplace/ TV/ kitchen. We knocked a wall through into the kitchen putting in a counter which includes whoever is slaving in the kitchen (currently Philip) in what is going on! There are also floor to ceiling windows and double French doors out to a south facing patio area.
The kitchen is small but highly functional with plenty of counter space and everything you need if you decide you want to cook at home.
There are two bedrooms; one has a double bed and the other a king size. The duvet covers and pillows are duck down and the sheets are 200/300 count Egyptian cotton and pure pleasure to sleep in :-)
The bathroom is styled in the Edwardian style with a modern twist. The shower is electric to ensure hot water at all times.
We can offer free parking with your booking. The apartments are gated and not open to the public.
Mi casa es su casa! We want our guests to feel at home in our place and anything in it is for guests use. We would just ask that it is respected as your own.
The entire apartment is available to you when we take your booking. It is a ground floor apartment with it's own entrance and there is a lovely sunny patio just outside the living room/ dining area (sun not guaranteed!).
PLEASE NOTE OUR TIME ZONE IS GMT
I am now putting my phone on silent when I go to bed. We now have three listings with Airbnb and I have often been woken 3/4 times in the night. I do check my phone frequently and give immediate responses when I can. :-)
We have free parking available for our guests with gate access. Please notify us IN ADVANCE so we can make sure there is a Parking Permit there for you. If you do not display the permit you WILL be clamped. We cannot be responsible for payment to have the clamp removed.
We will be available by phone or email if any problem arises. If you have any questions or special requirements please ask and we will see what we can do to help you.
*** ALLERGY ADVICE ***
The duvets and pillows are duck down and perhaps not suitable for some people.
*If the pull out guest bed is used there is an extra charge of €10 per night. Please let us know IN ADVANCE so we have the bed and bedding supplied for your visit :-)
* While we are not set up for children per se, we do have a Travel Cot for people with babies and a few games for young children.
We would like you to make yourself at home while in our place. Accordingly we would expect that you would treat it with the same respect as your own. While we have no objection to people entertaining and enjoying themselves thoroughly in our apartment we have to be strict on noise levels after 11pm. No hens or stags for this reason.
We have installed a telephone for our guests use as it is more convenient for booking restaurants and excursions: this is for calls to Irish landline or Irish mobile phones only. This phone is NOT for International calls, calls to the UK or Northern Ireland or premium rate numbers.
Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment but there is a patio just outside the living room area.
LOSS OF KEYS
If guests lock themselves out of the property OR they do not place keys in the lockbox at checkout, a €50 fee will apply. If a guest loses a set of keys during their stay, a €80 fee will apply. If a guest loses or leaves with the Parking Permit a €100 fee will apply.

We are a married couple and love travel of all sorts whether it's a short city break or a longer and more exotic break. When we go to a city we love to stay in an apartment as opposed to a hotel. We like to get to know the local people and get local tips when we stay in a new place. One of our favorite destinations was Guatemala where we were immersed in the traditions and foods of the local people.
We love our food, love good wines, good company and are both competent cooks. I love to finish a good meal with 4 drinks in front of me: a tasty wine, a quality water, an after dinner liqueur and an espresso - bliss!!
We like to collect art and antiques and dabble in a bit of furniture restoration and renovation.
We used to go out frequently but are now older (maybe not wiser) and spend time now on other pursuits - walking, furniture restoration, traveling, playing bridge (is that sad?!).
Life motto? So many....
Live for the day
Seize the moment
One mans rubbish is another mans treasure (I like to recycle!)
Fathers name family motto: ‘I Rise Through Difficulties’
Why lie awake thinking about it; just get up and do it!
So many mottos, so little time! ;-)
