I selected it because of superb location in midtown west and reasonable price especially for extended stays of 14 days or more. After 15 days of my stay in this lovely and homey apartment, I almost got attached to it and didn't want to leave. My girlfriend and I even started inadvertently calling it home towards the end of the stay :-) The apartment has a kitchen nook, separate full bathroom, and a very comfy living room with a large dining table. Generally the apartment was perfect and is as it appears on the photos. However in effort to be informative I thought I should list a couple of things that could be a concern to some travelers depending on their age and other things. One small drawback was that facing a busy street it was a bit noisy outside the bedroom in the morning, but I had no problems sleeping like a baby. Another small thing was that I could smell the cooking from downstairs deli eventhough the apartment is on the 3rd floor, but I also noticed crews doing work on replacing the ventilation of the building. So maybe the smell was temporary. One last thing is that one should not expect a spotlessy clean apartment as one would from a 5 star hotel room, because it is not a hotel...obviously. It is a normal apartment of a normal person, so one should expect normal things like a bit of dust or debris from the plants that are on the windowsills, less than a spotless kitchen appliances, etc. Overall this apartment was perfect. Its proximity to the Lincoln Center enabled me to see a good few performances in its various theaters including the free ones of the Julliard School. Just 2 blocks from the E train, it was so convenient to everything including a direct arrival from JFK if you are comfortable enough in NYC to do that. Also there were lots of nice little restaurants and bars on the 8th, 9th and 10th avenues nearby. Just perfect! As to the host, I did not get to see him because he was out of town, however the communication was excellent and timely and checking in was smooth with his friend awaiting me on the premises. Checking out was even easier. Not only I would happily stay here again, I actually may in the near future. Thank you very much Chris.
