Spacious, architecturally-designed living areas and kitchen. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Lots of kids. Open-space paths connect to Louisville restaurants, parks, rec center, library. Easy bus, bike or car access to Boulder and Denver.
The entry and two-car garage with a workshop, are on ground level. From the large mudroom,
ascend half a flight of stairs to the main level. The kitchen is newly remodeled with knotty alder cabinets, smooth slate floor, an exposed pantry, skylights and a large island incorporating a gas cook top and chairs for five. All appliances are stainless steel. Two large windows offer a view to the east and a sliding glass door leads to a multi-level deck complete with a gas grill and chairs for six. There is a motorized awning to protect the deck and house from the southern exposure in the hotter months. Adjacent to the kitchen is a wooden table that can fit from four to ten people. Other than the kitchen, all the upper levels of the house have bamboo flooring.
From the dining area, ascend five more stairs to the top level, over the garage. This is a 500 square foot living/working room complete with a couch, easy chair, bean bag, and a 12+-foot continuous desk along the western wall. A small deck overlooks the backyard. Twelve windows and three skylights give this room an open, airy feeling, while a separate heat-pump system and two ceiling fans can cool it individually. The rest of the house has a forced-air heating and air-conditioning system, operated by a programmable thermostat.
Back down on the main floor, the hallway passes a half bath featuring a copper sink and iridescent wall tile before arriving at the bedrooms. The smaller room has a twin trundle daybed and cabinet in the closet for clothes. The larger, master bedroom, has a queen-size bed, two dressers and two nightstands. The master bathroom features a full shower-tub with glass tile walls and glass doors, a counter with two sinks and plenty of storage space. Opposite a separate room for the toilet is the walk-in master closet. All of the master bath flooring is stone tile.
The smaller of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen-sized bed, tall bookshelf and nightstand. The larger has two twin-sized beds that can be bunked, two dressers and two nightstands, with plenty of play space left in the middle of the room.
The downstairs, floored throughout in warm, soft cork, has a foosball table, treadmill, built-in entertainment center featuring a high-resolution projection TV and blu-ray player, futon couch, a huge LoveSac bean bag chair, laundry facilities (including a high-efficiency front-loading washer, dryer) and a full bathroom with a Greek soaking tub.
In addition to the large, ground-level component of the back-yard deck, there is a afternoon-shaded grass area above two terraces. Southern exposure makes this an ideal spot for gardening: perennial herbs and berries are complementary. Deciduous trees provide privacy in the summer and a foot-wide irrigation ditch in the backyard sometimes brings the cheerful babble of water.
No indoor smoking. Please treat it as you would your own home.
