Our stay at Silvia's was very nice. The place was large and clean with nice amenities. The only downside was the noise, since it is directly off a busy road with quite a bit of traffic. This did make it a great location to walk to the city center from though. It was very close to Vatican City and lots of good places to eat.
Silvia was very helpful. She has a map and reminders in the entry for the best ways to get around town. The flat is very clean and my room was quite large. There was lots of light and the window and balcony door could be opened to let in air. It is on a pretty busy street that can be rather loud due to buses and traffic, but it wasn't a huge problem. The laundry is not available for use. It was about a 30 min walk to the Vatican Museum and the bus to the city center stopped just outside. ATMs are also just down the street and a supermarket is literally around the corner. I would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at Silvia's B&B. She was very responsive prior to check in and flexible with check in timing. The room we got was very big and comfortable, with a lot of room for two people. It was clean. It was facing the main street, which is noisy until late into the night so it might difficult your sleep (earplugs seemed to do the trick for us!). The bathroom is also very spacious and clean. Just beware that there are two other rooms in the B&B so you might be sharing the bathroom with a few other people if all rooms are occupied. There's a nice kitchen equipped for a good breakfast. Silvia provided us with coffee, tea, juice, bread to toast with butter and jam, some pastries, and yogurt. It was great to start the day and helped us save some money. The location is good with bus stops across the street. It's about 10 minutes walking to the Vatican and about 45 min- 1 hour walking to the other side of the river where most attractions are (Piazza Navona, Piazza Spagna, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Coliseum, etc). We like to walk so it was fine for us, but if not you can take the bus. Close to the apartment, there's a supermarket that stays open 24 he, some cafes ad pizzerias, and small markets. All in all, we recommend staying at Silvia's place.
Silvia was a wonderful host and the place is very large and clean--in a good location close to Vatican City. Although our flights were delayed and we had a little difficulty getting from the airport and arrived two hours later than expected, Silvia was understanding. We would definitely stay again!
