New construction! Fully equipped kitchen and all the comforts of home. Quiet country living with a private entrance. Minutes from commuter rail to NYC. Hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. Ideal hotel alternative for wedding and graduation guests or business travelers.
The apartment is separate from our house, over our garage. It is a brand new space that we just renovated including brand new appliances, windows, doors - even the walls and floors! We took care of lots of little details from the cedar-lined entryway to the USB outlets hoping our guests will feel pampered and rejuvenated. When you arrive you will find the kitchen stocked with little treats, cooking spices and other essentials you might want whether you are looking to prepare a meal or just a midnight snack. We invite you to connect to our wi-fi and via the apartment smart TV enjoy any of the almost 300 television shows and over 1000 movies available in our digital collection. If you are really looking to disconnect you will find cards and board games to enjoy.
The apartment has a private entrance from the driveway and parking area behind our house. Your key will allow you to come and go as you please.
You will find a guest book with recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, shopping and sight-seeing all over the area. We respect your privacy when you are enjoying our country retreat, but please don't hesitate to ask us for more detailed information or in-person recommendations.
We have a check in time set to 4 p.m. and a check out at 11am, however we can be flexible on these times as our work schedules and other bookings permit. Please message us if you would like to request different check-in and check-out times. Our house is a smoke and drug-free environment. We ask that all guests be 21 years old or older. We take great pride in the space we provide; we hope you do, too.
I am a life-long CT resident, mother of two teenagers and significant other to a Canadian ex-pat. We have lived in Redding since 2011. I am a high school educator and certified library media specialist which makes me an avid reader. I am also a dog lover, coffee drinker, and player of board games. I prefer the outdoors to inside and definitely warm weather to cold. As our guest, your like-home comfort is our priority. You will find all you need to relax, get ready for a big event, and even prepare meals. And we hope you enjoy the savory treats it is our pleasure to provide. We respect your privacy and are happy to recommend our favorite local eateries and activities as you request. Our three rescue dogs are well-separated from your living space so you will not need to encounter them. We are quite fond of our rustic, rural town with its easy access to the bustling activity of nearby towns and (via car or commuter rail) to New York City. We hope you enjoy a stay with us!
