Lovely, spacious antique house near Redd's Pond and walkable to Old Town and two sandy beaches. Large family room/kitchen near sunny deck and private back yard. Perfect for large families with small children - fishing nearby and swimming a 10-minute walk away.
The entire house is yours to spread out in and relax, or to gather in the family room, kitchen, and adjacent deck for cook-outs and summer conversation. Formal and informal dining areas are right off the cozy kitchen, equipped for large-family cooking or outdoor grilling. Formal living room provides quiet space well away from family room for quiet reading or playing the piano.
Four bedrooms on the second floor are separated by halls for privacy and plenty of sunlight. Air conditioners provide cooling in kitchen/eating areas, family room, and all bedrooms. Main and servants' stairways connect all areas of the house.
Wendy and I live in town and will be available at all times to answer questions, provide directions, or suggest great seafood or gourmet restaurants. We strive to meet every guest's needs quickly and cheerfully.
The two stairs to the second floor are a bit steep but are equipped with handrails and carpeting. The back yard is completely fenced in and is overlooked by the deck so small children can play in a protected area.
We live in a close-knit neighborhood with lots of children around, so reasonable levels of quiet are expected at all times, but especially after 10 pm.
Conversations on the deck and in the yard need to be at a quiet level at all times.
Events or parties with more than 5 additional people and/or loud music are NOT ALLOWED.
QUIET HOURS MUST BE OBSERVED AFTER 10 PM, WITH NO LOUD TALKING ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE HOUSE OR ON THE STREETS NEARBY.
No smoking at anytime within the house.
Please keep all food in the kitchen and dining room.
Please do not light candles.
No smoking in or around the house.
We would appreciate you leaving the house as you found it - clean, vacuumed, dishes put away, and towels and sheets laundered and folded on the beds.
