I had a terrific 23 day stay at Marie-Francoise's home. The apartment is exactly as pictured, clean and very orderly. Marie-Francoise met me as arranged and spent a fair amount of time with me, making sure I understood how everything worked. She assured me she was available by phone/text/ and email 24/7. Which incidentally she was when I was looking for advice on restaurants, and the best ways to get to certain destinations.
She's made a fabulous book which contains Metro and Bus maps, and circulars for just about every Paris attraction. The book also contains, information about the neighborhood, location of pharmacies, and grocery stores; of which there is an abundant selection, including two at your door step. An award winning bakery is on the corner. And we loved the experience of having a nightcap with our "neighbors" at a local bistro around the corner.
I'd never stayed in the 18th Arr. before, so I wasn't familiar with just how good the transportation links are in Marie-Francoise's neighborhood. There are two main Metro Lines, the 4 and the 12. Each is an easy two block walk in opposite directions, and each of these lines have multiple connection points with other lines in the city. Buses are equally available.
Over the years I've been to Paris many times for both work and pleasure and this has been my most enjoyable visit yet, due in part to staying in Marie-Francoise's apartment, and having the pleasure of meeting her and her family.
