Oh, this makes me profoundly sad. As a host I always go out of my way to make my guests feel welcomed and cared for. I am so sorry that your experience was otherwise.
Much of your review has me confused. Maybe you were upset that I couldn't allow a dog, but we are a pet free home. To address some of your concerns: I offered in advance to switch rooms for your convenience, as I knew that my daughter and I had an early morning to take her for her final exam and didn't want to risk disturbing your sleep. Even with her pending exam, she specifically waited up to greet and welcome you that night.
The family night and pizza was on the second night of your stay. You commented on how good it smelled, and we invited you both to join us and for the movie as well. The pizza boxes and trash were taken out that evening, as I regularly do.
I asked again and again, to please tell me if there was anything you needed, so I apologize that the room ended up with one hanger, but had you asked, there were plenty to be had, as well as soaps and conditioners and extra towels. In fact, I even pointed out as I always do, where the spare towels are kept, and to feel free to help yourself to that and anything else.
As for the cleanliness, I always wash my linens and duvet covers, rugs... so this is just unfounded. I pay my cleaning person $100. I only charged you half- as well as half the room rate for your whole stay, as I felt like helping an aspiring college student. Again, I am sorry that your experience was less than positive. I wish you the best in your academic endeavors.
All the best,
