The east facing windows overlooks the barren hills and you can see the first rays of the sun coming in after the polar night in the beginning of February. Hot water, gas oven, refrigerator, microwave oven, a couch turning into a double bed and a small TV. You will be greeted and accommodated by Alexander, a trustworthy childhood friend.

As a starting point for fishing or hunting trips, this apartment can be a safe retreat during exploration of this nice city. Contrary to what one might think, Murmansk is low on crime, people are nice and helpful and the food is great. Everything from traditional Russian cuisine, sushi on the menu in every decent restaurant or spend some more rubles in the steakhouse in the main square with seasonal reindeer meat or other local game garnished with local specialities. Good wine choices.
