Nestled between two downs on westernmost point of the Island. Breathtaking views, walks out the door. Built in 1850s, restored with sumptuous furnishing, light filled rooms. Luxurious wood-burning sauna and outdoor shower.
Can sleep 4-6 (using sofa bed), or up to 8 people for 20% surcharge.
Two bedrooms: Master bedroom (queen), second bedroom (double).
The small library/TV room has an over/under day bed that can be made up for two more people. You have to walk through the library to reach the second bedroom.
Additionally, the Lookout can be rented for a 20% surcharge. It is a small prow-shaped building at the front of the property, from where coastguards would watch for smugglers coming from Alum Bay. It has two (very!) high bunk beds accessed by a ladder, which can be a fun way to host children or guests.
The cottage is two out of five original coastguards residences. The remaining three units we are in the process of restoring.
