Cosy appartment in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost, overlooking the famous and lively Dappermarkt. Oosterpark, Linnaeusstraat (bars, restaurants), Zoo, 'Tropenmuseum' and Windmill at walking distance. 10 minutes by tram to city centre, 20 minutes by footh
The appartment has a big spacy mostly very white living room (with television, also Netflix ), toilet and a kitchen with balcony upstairs. Downstairs: one bedroom (one kingsize double bed), a rather basic bathroom (shower) and little terrace/ backyard. The house is in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost, a very lively and nice 'real' authentic Amsterdam neighborhood. There is lot of cultural diversity, lots of students and a nice friendly atmosphere. By the way: we also have WIFI in the house.
You can use the whole house. Only the front room downstairs will be locked, I use it as an office when there are no guests. When you are staying in the appartment, I might visit for a moment to pick up some stuff during day time, but generally I will stay somewhere nearby, in the neighboorhood, so you have all the privacy you need.
I respect people's wishes. I know the city very well and love to give you advice where to go. If you need help or guidance just ask me. Some people rather keep to themselves, if you are like that, I understand and respect that too. I will give you my phonenumber, so you can always call me, should there be a problem or question.
Normally I will also be there when you arrive and I will tell everything you want to know to feel at home!
I think of this neighborhood as the best in Amsterdam. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, Oosterpark, It's also close to the city centre, zoo (Artis), museums (Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh to be reached within fifteen minutes by tram), a nice big Dutch windmill. It is also very nicely located for those who want to travel (by bike!) to the suprisingly spectacular totally flat countryside (twenty minutes)
Many trams (7, 9, 10) and buses (22) to the city centre and Amsterdam Central Station. A local train station (Muiderpoort) is 10 minutes by foot, From there you can also reach Amsterdam Central Station within five minutes.
The market is very nearby. The cleaning of the market at the end of the day can give some noise, but normally it is very quiet in and around the house.
Finally: I have lots of information about where to go and what to do, where to eat etc, also about real nice walks (or bike rides) through town, and on how to avoid the touristy, busy areas, the kind of information only locals have, on your arrival I will take time to help you with (making) plans for your stay and provide you with advise all according to your personal wishes, of course if needed/ wanted.
