You will have your own private room with in my beautiful East Village apartment with exposed brick.
My apartment is a 3rd-floor walkup in the heart of the East Village, one of New York's most exciting areas. The apartment is a few minute walk from the 1st avenue L subway station and is about a ten minute walk from Union Square and the Lower East Side. You will be steps away from some of the best restaurants, cafes, bars and boutique shops in New York, including the famous Momofuku. Although the apartment is very close to great bars and nightlife, it is on a relatively quiet street, so you can escape all the chaos of the city. Although sometimes you do hear construction outside the apartment starting at around 8:00 am on weekdays.
Your room has a queen size bed, with two closets, a dresser and a nightstand inside the room. You also have access to the main bathroom in the hallway, which is very big. There is another bathroom in the second bedroom so you will only be sharing the bathroom with me (if I'm at the apartment).
You'll have access to all areas of the apartment (except the second bedroom). he living room has a couch and loveseat you can relax on and a TV you are free to use, fully equipped with cable and apple tv. The kitchen is a full kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. and you can use the kitchen as much or as little as you like (most guests prefer to sample the great restaurants and eaterys of NYC)
My roommate lives in the other bedroom. He gets home late from work most nights, so you probably won't interact with him much, but he is very respectful and friendly and would be happy to answer any of your questions.
I will either be sleeping at my girlfriends apartment or in the living room, but I also work late and will not be at home at all during the day. I will stay out of your way, but will be available to answer any questions and provide suggestions on things to do and places to eat and go out.
I just ask that you be respectful of my things and not make a huge mess. Please treat my apartment as you would treat your own. I prefer no pets (nothing against them - I'm an animal lover!), but will make exceptions on occasion.
