Hostal Las Catalinas is an 103 year old Historical House with a distinct Caribbean flavor situated in the serene and peaceful surroundings of the Iglesia that house the Christo de Esquipulas and its Park.

The Hostal Las Catalina's was built in 1913 and has a vibrant and great history.
It was a home to different generations of highly respected families, who were the founders of Anton district and well-known characters of the political circles of Panama.
The 103 years old house is fully restored and has a magnificent location. From the country yard you can see the first chapel that houses the Christ of the Esquipulas and visitors can see the first walls of the chapel of the Church and walk on floors that are over 100 years old.
The Las Catalina’s has 8 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. These rooms have been restored with care to maintain the beauty of these historical times. Our client can enjoy the outdoor terraces and kitchen for free to immerse in the beauty and all the history our place has to offer.

We also have a constant developing ecological farm called El Maizal nearby for our guest to explore. El Maizal is located in Cabuya de Anton, a small local village 2 hours from Panama City. Established at 1906, Cabuya is a peaceful village with colorfully painted homes.
El Maizal is a unique adventure and travel experience for visitors interested in learning more about Panama’s ecology, natural history, folklore and cuisine. Our farm is about the growing, harvesting, and processing of locally organically grown foods, such as tomato, various roots, corn, citruses, beans, coffee and home grown Tilapia. You can learn how to make traditional hand poured sugar candies and make your own wrapped corn breads and try our farm grown fruits and vegetables, try tasty locally prepared meals, while you experience workings of an organic farm and be a part of the change.
This is a family oriented guest house and we are welcome our guest with a smile and with warm hospitality.

Quiet time is between 10 PM till 8 AM, than 11 PM till 9 AM on weekends respectful to one another.
There is no specific check in and check out time besides the 24 hrs cycle of counting your daily stay. Breakfast is not included in the price.
All Meals come with a nominal fee. They are cooked fresh daily in our kitchen by a local cook for your comfort. We also cater a fruit bar for our guests convenience for a truly unique and affordable experience. You can relax in our gazebos in hammocks, have your own private bathrooms and outdoor terraces. No smoking inside building by the Panamanian law. We only serve alcohol to the house guest for leisure.
We do not allow any types of drugs in our facility by law.
We have a washer in our facility for self care or for a laundry service.
We accept credit card payments on premises.
Our Cancellation policy is 72 hours before your arrival. If it is less than 3 days, we will keep the deposit and charge you for minimum of 1 day stay.
