Enjoy breakfast from the rose garden deck overlooking the cattle lazing on the rolling hills of our pastures. Explore our 115 acres, help pick our veggies collect eggs from our chickens or just relax with a book. Maybe catch us rehearsing music.
We are developing a sustainable lifestyle with permaculture principles and welcome visitors to our farm-sanctuary. Whether you prefer to get away from the hustle and retreat into the serenity of our place or need a base to call home while enjoying the local sights and experiences of East Gippsland with it lakes, rail trails, caves and wineries, you are welcome to make our place your cultural sanctuary.
We have a private room available in our home with a queen bed and some basic wardrobe space. There is a shared bathroom with shower, vanity and bath. The family kitchen is also shared. You are welcome to sit back and relax on our deck or front verandah and watch the roses grow and the birds nestle in the local flora. You are welcome to prepare yourself breakfast in our kitchen - we will make a breakfast basket available to you.
We are happy to give you tips of where to go and what to see to suit your needs while you stay with us. You may even wish to hire one of our push bikes and explore the rail trail. Or perhaps you will prefer to stay on the farm and just explore our 115 acres of paddocks, vegetable garden and orchard with our free range chickens. We are musicians (though most of the REAL musicians seem to have found their way to other duties away from the farm). You might want to have a look at our unique "shearing shed music studio" or have your own private function by hiring our "shed function space" during your stay.
We have built an accommodation cottage in our top paddock which you will pass on your way down the driveway.
Peter is an early bird and prefers to get to bed before 9pm, and as he is currently the main host (with Donrita having been enticed into a job that takes her to Melbourne for large blocks of time) it would be good to keep things quiet after 9pm. If your arrival is likely to be after this then let us know so that we can make arrangements for you to find your room.
We have a "no smoking" policy.
Please take off your shoes inside the house.
Our kitchen is a family kitchen which you are welcome to share with us and it's a "self-clean" kitchen - if you use it you clean it yourself.
Please keep all food and drink out of the bedroom.
Dogs are allowed but must stay outside in our specially provided kennel.
We can even accommodate cattle in our yards if this is needed (and have done!)
Enjoy our fresh rain water but please use it sparingly - if it runs out no one has any! Our shower is also "self-clean" and we ask you to wipe it down after use with the wiper and cloth provided.
This is our family home, so no parties please! But if you wish, you can arrange to hire our "shed studio and man cave" to entertain.
We would like to offer you use of our "man cave" if you would like to have a small get-together with friends...just like the rest of our home, it's a "Self-Cleaning" area...meaning you clean it yourself and leave it tidy after you've finished. Let us know if you'd like to try this out.

We are a family, moved from the busyness of the city of Sydney to a farm in East Gippsland. We are striving to develop a more sustainable lifestyle and hope to become more part of the environmental solution rather than add to the problem. We grow our own vegetables and our contented, free range chooks lay our eggs. Our water is as fresh as it comes, direct from the clouds and captured in our own rainwater tanks.
The region boasts a great eclectic music culture among wineries and unusual eating venues and we ourselves have become part of the local music scene - Nick, our resident "multi-instrumentalist/vocalist" has developed his own unique folk-jazz fusion style and Donrita, a pianist, leads several local choirs. Josiah plays sax and sings too and Peter leads the bass section of the choir and plays the CD!
When at home we are always pottering and creating a beautiful space for living - Peter's ability to carve out a music studio, office and two man caves/entertainment areas is something worth coming to see for yourself!
Our lovely chocolate and merle border colllie, "Spring" will always welcome you with tail wagging - only danger with her is that she might lick you to death!
We often have cheerful young "workawayers" who love to experience our home while helping with our diverse projects.
Come and collect your own eggs if you like or pull vegetables direct from the garden and fruit direct from our orchard. Stroll around the dams and go see our cattle or make friends with the goats. Or just relax on our deck or verandah with a wine and take in the serene scenery.
Our motto: "Gezellig thuis" - "ce and share the hospitality of our home with us.
