This 15C country cottage is surrounded by its own beautiful Victorian walled garden filled with flowers and vegetables. It is an easy downhill walk into historic Bradford on Avon of about 15 mins with all its restaurants and award winning pubs. It is 10 mins on the train to Bath or a 20 min taxi ride. The cottage has its own parking and is accessed from a sunny courtyard planted with lavender and a fountain. Shared use of fantastic 100 sq.m gym/sauna/games room. Country walks from the doorstep.
As you walk through the front door from the pretty courtyard you enter the sitting area with stone flagged floor tiles. There is a wood burning stove in the central fireplace and a (now unused) bread oven to the right and an antique smoking oven to the left. The windows look out onto the garden. There is a double bedroom with a sink, wardrobe and shelving. The latched door provides access to the upstairs bedroom with a king sized bed and a single bed. There is sink, chest of drawers, bedside cupboards and hanging space for clothes. There is a seating area for relaxing.
Downstairs is a bathroom with a sink and power shower over the bath and a loo.
The kitchen is galley style with a cooker, fridge and microwave. There is digital TV and free Internet but no landline.
There is a private driveway shared by the family and other guests. The cottage adjoins the family's farmhouse but has private access to the house and garden. Exclusive use of the large walled Victorian garden with ample outdoor seating and a BBQ. There is a potager with flowers and vegetables and a huge original green house with peach trees.
The 100m2 former dairy is now the games room with table tennis etc, a gym and sauna with a shower. There is a barn on the opposite side of the courtyard which is also rented out to guests from time to time.
We live on site in the old farm house and love having guests. We are a happy family of 5 with 2 small dogs and (currently) 5 chickens. We are used to interacting as much or as little as our guests prefer and can recommend local places to visit and eat. We even provide on site babysitters if you would like.
We live in a gorgeous rural area yet close enough to Bradford on Avon to walk into town with all its amenities and great restaurants and pubs. There is a towpath from here to Bath which you can walk or cycle with pubs en route. Not to be missed! Please enquire about Corporate Rates.
We are respectful of our guests privacy and just ask that if there is a problem you let us know early on so we have the opportunity to put it right. Please treat our cottage well and leave it in the same condition you found it in and report any breakages.
