Come visit our quaint greek revival - the original farmhouse for the surrounding fields. Now we keep 7 acres productive by raising veggies, chickens, cider apples, and children. Explore nearby gorges and the sweet village of Trumansburg, 5 min. away.
You are renting a cozy room in a spacious old farmhouse with all the attendant charms and quirks. The room is well heated in winter, and has a window and ceiling fan to keep it cool in summer. You will have access to an adjacent private bath with a washer and dryer. I may occasionally need to use the washer during your stay, but otherwise the bath will be entirely yours. There are dressers and bookcases for your use and enjoyment.
You may use your room and bath. You may use the living room and kitchen for minor cooking, but do not expect these to be maintained at the same level of tidiness as your room. Please wash your own dishes. The rest of the house is off limits. You may explore the grounds, though I ask that you do not go into any of the barns.
I run a small business from my home, and while I may be in my office during your stay, for the most part I will be occupied. I would love to chat over breakfast if we happen to be eating at the same time, but for the most part I will let you enjoy your stay on your own.
We are raising a family, running a small business, and doing some minor homesteading. While your room and bath is tidy, quiet and private, the rest of the house and grounds may be more chaotic. Do not rent here if you are offended by an occasional chicken taking up residence in the mudroom.
I am fairly private and quiet. I get up and go to bed early. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 6:30 am. You may feel free to come and go as you please during this time, or watch movies on the TV in the living room, as long as you keep the volume down.
Please no pets since I have my own animals in the house and on the grounds.
