Newly renovated, private, one-bedroom basement apartment with private bath and kitchen on a quiet street in the heart of the Junction Triangle.
5 minute walk to UP station - direct to Pearson Airport and 8 minutes to downtown, Union St.
7 Minute walk to subways (Lansdowne and Dundas W)
Across the street from a park. Perfect for couples! Singles! Parents with Children. Parking available for $10/day. Separate Entrance. All doors have codes. No keys. Close to bars, restaurants, parks, and more.
It is a one bedroom, basement apartment with a full kitchen and three piece bathroom that are private. You don't share with anyone. The bedroom contains a real queen sized bed. There is also a couch which can fold out into an additional bed to sleep up to four people. PLEASE NOTE: That both beds are in the same room.
There is a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove and microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc. There's also dishes and cookware. There's a dining room table and two chairs.
The space is ideal for a solo person, a couple, or a couple traveling with a child. We welcome up to four adults but once the couch is made into a bed, there's not a ton of room for hanging out.
There is a TV with a Roku (so you have Netflix). Free wifi. Parking can be made available for $10/day.
If you need access to laundry, just ask and we'll make it available.
You have the basement to yourselves and there is a separate entrance. Entrances have door codes so you don't need a key. I will text/email codes a couple of days before your arrival.
The front door opens onto a little vestibule where we ask you leave your outside shoes. There are separate entrances to basement and main floor. Basement door is opposite front door and has a four digit code and a welcome sign.
There is a small park across the street. It also has a play gym for children under 12.
Please knock on our door if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say, 'hi'. You can also text anytime. However, if you'd rather stick to yourselves, that's great, too.
There is a space heater under the black desk in the bedroom is you find it chilly.
The street is very quiet and there's a park next door. There is SOME NOISE as we're above the subway and you can hear the trains from time to time. Nothing rattles but you can hear the rumble.
Also, one of the taps in the shower drips if you don't turn it off hard. If you're over six feet tall, you might find the shower too short.
There is an iron and ironing board in the cabinet under the microwave in the kitchen.
Hair dryer is in the drawers in the bathroom.
Additional towels are in the drawers in the bedroom.
Additional linen is in the trunk in the bedroom.
Please keep the volume to a minimum after 11PM!
No smoking (indoors), doing drugs (other than a Advil), or all other illegal activities.
We're a professional couple in our 40s and we have one young daughter who is almost 3.
I'm an actor/comedian/club owner. I've been involved in the arts in Toronto for over 20 years. My club is on the Danforth on the east side of the city. We are mainly involved in comedy though we host poetry nights, music, and some theatre events.
My wife is a published author, a NYT Bestseller. She's working on her third novel and also teaches Creative Writing at U of T.
We love good food, good wine, and good conversation. We have friends all over the world and we'd love to meet you, too!
Please make sure to stop by during your stay to get the lowdown on the city and the neighbourhood. It's an area that is rapidly gentrifying and is full of cool, hip places. If you know where to look.
Sorry for the dearth of good photos. The listing is new, as of June 2016, and we're working on it. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
