After arriving, guests will enjoy a short time of introductions. After being introduced to the space and to each other, I will provide a quick demonstration on the pottery wheel with a small amount of clay. Afterwards, each guest will be allowed time to create a piece on the wheel from beginning to end with personal instruction and assistance from me. Guests are welcome to make anything they would like to on the wheel! Cup, bowl, vase, dish, etc. The firing of pottery is a long process that is separate from the time we spend on the wheel. Each piece requires two 8-10 hour monitored sessions in a kiln, and I hand glaze each piece. I offer kiln services out of my personal studio if you have interest in having your piece fired for a small fee that is not due the day of the experience. I do not include this in the price of the experience because some guests do not wish to keep their piece. *The time noted on the experience, 2 hours, is generally descriptive of a 2 person experience which encompasses the majority of my bookings. In general, the experience is 1 hour per person. If there are 3 or 4 people in the booking, likely the experience will extend the 2 hour session time, and if there is 1 person in the booking it will be closer to an hour. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting some clay on. Clay will wash out, but you may not want to go out right after.

We will bike on our local country roads while enjoying stops in vineyards, walking through 160 year old wine caves and even, during the harvest season, we enjoy tasting the grapes and testing the sugar levels. All our experiences are geared towards each small group's needs and wants. We will enjoy a private lunch at one of the wineries, a behind the scenes cheese tasting (exclusively offered to our guests every day but Sundays and Mondays) and more. The wineries we pick are diverse and the route is designed to show our guests what Sonoma has to offer. Other things to note Our locally guided experience includes the lunch, waters, and the behind the scenes cheese tasting and tour but does NOT include the tasting fees which typically run between $35-45 average per winery.

Due to Covid we are trying to somewhat limit class size and trying to control classes on a class by class basis. You may book experience here or contact through Airbb Experiences to setup your private class time. We are Covid conscious and sterilize between classes, have masks and gloves available. In this class you will create your own all natural soy scented candles and learn the basics of candle making. As A chandler ( candle maker) I will walk you through the process of formulating your perfect scent. Use one of our 60+ all natural phthalate free fragrances or blend your own custom scent. Three soy candles. One 8 oz and two 4 oz. Classes are approximately 2 hours Typical Workshop: Check In/Mixer - Introductions, safety and Introduction to Candle Making -Fragrance Exploring, mixing, Pouring -Create custom label (my favorite part) add botanicals, Mingle and Hang While Your Candle Cools Other things to note Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to get settled. At Meadowcroft Wines, learn about the art and science of winemaking by blending and bottling your very own bottle of wine. We’ll start with a stroll through the beautifully manicured gardens of Cornerstone Sonoma and an idyllic vineyard for a firsthand look at the vines. As we walk the rows, We’ll share why the iconic Sonoma Valley is the perfect place to winegrapes. Then, we’ll sit to create unique blends from wines that have been aged in separate barrels to craft your own red blend using Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc to place your own signature style into a Bordeaux based red blend. Each person will hand-cork their own bottle of wine and take it home to share. No previous wine experience is necessary - perfect for all levels of wine experience and interest. Other things to note: You'll blending will be guided by one of our knowledgeable team members. Bring comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera. We will sit down and learn how to taste: why do we smell to begin? what does our tongue taste? what is the reason and benefit in pairing wine with food? 3. We will go through 7-8 wines along with 5-6 food pairings, all from the neighborhood and explore how different they taste and the nuances of each. And we'll taste different pairings and how they each bring something to the experience. 4. We'll learn about wine in human history, 8000 years in the making. 5. We talk about building community through wine, how we convert wine into good for our world. 6. You'll meet interesting people and how much we share in common. 7. This tasting educational, fun, and intimate: perfect for groups and team-building. Other things to note Come with curiosity and interest in wine, prepared to enjoy yourself. Food pairings are bites, and are meant to be illustrative rather than a meal.

First things first... Your driver will arrive to pick up the group at the address you provide upon booking your experience with a splash of sparkling wine for everyone to toast before embarking on your adventure in wine country. A basket of light snacks will be available for your group to enjoy in between winery visits as well as plenty of water to stay hydrated. Now, it’s off to the wineries! Typically, we will visit 2-3 wineries (based upon timing and location of Airbnb), one stop either offering a food and wine pairing or a picnic lunch. o Picnic Lunch option o If you choose the picnic lunch option, you do have the flexibility to choose a casual picnic lunch or a more elaborate offering. The cost of food is dependent on your meal choices. o A menu will be provided for you to choose from. Guided fishing adventures for both the beginner and experienced fisherman/woman. You have the option of morning or afternoon fishing experiences where we will enjoy beautiful Lake Sonoma in Healsburg, CA - easily accessible from anywhere in Sonoma County! Fishing with guided instruction and technique on my state-of-the-art bass boat. Just bring yourself - I have everything you need for a great day fishing on this beautiful lake. I include a mid-morning or afternoon snack with plenty of water. Top notch equipment for an enjoyable and memorable experience. One of my passions is to teach kids to fish like my dad taught me but I can teach anyone to fish like a pro! Experienced anglers also welcome with their own fishing gear and favorite presentations.

Guests will come to my jewelry studio and make a completely unique piece of sterling silver jewelry. Join us for a 2 hour guided session, beginners welcome. I have the workbenches, tools, soldering equipment, silver and hundreds of semi-precious gemstones to create a piece to take home with you. Stones are an additional cost - this price covers the cost of the 2 hour jewelry making lesson - the stones are in addition and range in price from $15-97. Our space can host up to 10 makers, it is a fun and rewarding to design and create a beautiful piece of jewelry. Members of your group will connect as they share their stone choices, designs and the final pieces. Learn about dozens of types of stones, find one that speaks to you and create a ring, bracelet, pendant necklace or earrings. Finish the session with refreshments. We'll provide sparkling water, you can bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy if you wish.

Ever visit a tasting room and feel overwhelmed by wine terminology and tasting etiquette? Allow me to walk you through professional tasting methodology, wine production, organic vs biodynamic viticulture, and food pairing fundamentals. By the end of the last glass you should be able to have a good grasp of proper tasting etiquette and be able to have a full fledged conversation with a sommelier! It is important to note that I am very selective about my choice of wines. With over 500 wineries in the valley, many small, fine wine oriented producers are overlooked by large scale industrial operations. We will taste some of Napa’s most heralded wineries (likely ones you’ve never heard of), as well as international wines. I like to champion true artisans and support small businesses! Tours are limited to six guests to allow for a more intimate and personalized experience.
