Alpaca Trekking Through A Magical Forest
Alpacas take to trekking quite easily. They walk in a line, one behind the other on a head collar & lead rope. Our guided treks start at our farm and ascend into the forest. The walk itself is at a very leisurely pace and lasts about 1.5 hours (there are inclines and the terrain is uneven with tree roots underfoot). PLEASE NOTE: MINIMUM AGE 12 YEARS, no baby carriers (and all guests must speak English). When you arrive on site, the alpacas will be grazing, and we will call them in using their yellow food bucket! Simon and I will introduce you to the alpacas whist getting them ready with head collars and leads. We will have a brief health & safety chat, as well as give you some idea of what to expect and some pointers so you can interact with your alpaca. We will also introduce you to all of their individual quirks and personalities. Alpacas are not able to carry packs or people, so they will accompany us as we walk the forest trail. We try not to let them stop to nibble grass for long periods. Half-way around the walk, we release the alpacas in an enclosed area, so we can feed them treats, and you can get very close and intimate with them. They will love you when we give you the apples and carrots to feed them. There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout your visit. When we return to the farm, we will finish with a fibre and spinning demonstration.

Cliffs of Moher Hike from Doolin
The Cliffs Of Moher is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. This guided tour will take you on an 8km (5 mile) adventure from the small fishing village of Doolin, along a breathtaking route to the top of the Cliffs Of Moher. The experience is brought to life with fascinating stories passed down from generations. Oh, and you will see the BEST views of the Cliffs of Moher! Views that are not seen by 97% of the people who visit the Cliffs of Moher each year. Bring your camera! WHERE DOES THE EXPERIENCE START? The experience begins at the Fiddle + Bow Hotel in Doolin where you will meet the guide. The guide will explain the itinerary and answer any questions. The tour is less about facts and figures and more about stories. The guide always encourages stories from visitors too! WHERE DOES THE EXPERIENCE END? The tour will end at the visitor center at the top of the Cliffs where guests are free to go inside to relax. By the end of this experience, guests will have explored the Cliffs of Moher in a way most don't get to see it. They will be left with a strong sense of connection with Clare and the Cliffs of Moher. TRANSPORTATION Transportation back to Doolin will be organized by your guide! Most people opt for the taxi but you can walk or get the public bus too! IS THE HIKE DIFFICULT? We suggest a moderate level of fitness! However, there are hills.
Aran Island Bike Tour with Tea/Scones - Day Trip from Doolin
Join me and my team of guides on one of the most beautiful and stress-free day trips to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands! Meeting at Doolin Pier, we board a modern ferry for our 20-minute journey to Inisheer. En route, we often see the dolphins that love to swim beside the ferry. The island is like a time machine. As soon as you step foot on Inisheer, you will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken everywhere. You will experience Irish traditions that have been lost on the mainland. We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles. After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets! Afterward, you will have some free time. Some like to use their free time on the sandy beach, in the pub, or at the playground (if you have kids, they will love this playground - lots to do). If you like, you could simply bike around the island some more!
Guided walk Carrauntoohil
Carrauntoohil is Ireland's highest mountain, with 1,038 metres of height (3,405 feet). It's a strenuous walk ideal for a person with a good fitness level, hill walking experience & hiking boots. ITINERARY: Distance of 13 km. Total ascent 950 metres. Duration 6+ hours. I will meet with my hiking group at 10:00 at Lisleibane - Carrauntoohil Trail Head & Car Park. Carrauntoohil Coffee Hut at the car park (Summer) for coffee. After checking gear and supplies we will hit the trail with an easy pace. On our way, perhaps we meet sheep, we watch the birds soar, we smell the gorse flower (May) as we walk into Hag’s Glen for one hour before our first rest at the base of the Hag’s Tooth. We then prepare for the summit and the actual climb, with short scrambles and steep climb we will head via O’Shea's Gully. Setting off, as we rise higher and higher we are greeted with better and better views, we experience more pleasure than pain. When we finally arrive at the summit we are awestruck by the views, the best in Ireland in a clear day. We can see the entire County of Kerry, the Black Valley, Dingle Peninsula, West Cork, even the Atlantic Ocean. Priceless!! With our well deserved rest, refreshed and elated it's time to descend taking our time, and being extra careful we work our way down via Devil’s Ladder, or Zig-Zag path; or Heaven's Gate depending on weather conditions and safety.
Half day blacksmith forge exsperence
This is a practical hands on Blacksmith taster session. You will make three small items such as a forge welded heart, a poker, toasting fork, small hooks or key rings for example. Whilst doing so you will learn different forging techniques as well as how to work with the fire and how to use different tools and there names. Sessions are kept small there is a maximum number of 2 students in a session, this means that you get the most of my time. A session will last around 3 hours, so there's plenty of forge time to enjoy.

The Cliffs of Moher, driving excursion from end to end
This is a easy crawl from point to point around the cliffs of moher area. You will be driven by me to the best vantage points. I will drive you along tiny back roads that you would never navigate by yourself giving you a completely unique insight into the Cliffs of Moher. Most visitors only see the visitor centre without realising there is 16kms of cliff paths to explore. We will pop out at points and hike/walk for short distances before we head onto the next spot. All of them are extraordinary scenic points where you can take photo's, just relax or hike. Its up to you !! This is also suitable for folks who (have no car) are staying in Galway and are taking the bus here. I can collect you and drop you back afterwards. It also has appeal to folks with limited mobility, folks who are only interested in photography or maybe you just want a relaxing day out at this iconic site without a big hike.
The Burren Folk-Healer Trail - nature and history tour
Stroll through a hidden ancient fairy tree (whitethorn) and hazel wood atop the Burren hills whilst bathing in rainbows and watercolour skies. Feel 330-million-year-old limestone slabs beneath your feet, make a wish by a holy well and nestle inside a hermit’s cave. Maybe we'll meet some indigenous goats who roam free or curious sheep and cattle. As we meander together and sit gazing over the hilltops, I can share with you the mystical stories and lore of this ancient landscape. All that you can learn with me is based on extensive research I've done for schools, museums and publications across Ireland. We'll also share entertaining stories of hermits, saints, herbs and medieval medicine as it was experienced throughout time here in the Burren. When we reach our destination we can enjoy coffee and/or a flask of freshly-picked dandelion-leaf tea and homemade chocolates as we watch the light dance across the feadáns.
Alpacas experience in a lovely farm
You'll jump right into the field, meeting our lovely alpacas and horses. You will know everything about them, about their life and habits. I attended several Alpacas Classes where I get my advanced certificates with the British Alpacas Association and the Alpaca Association of Ireland. You'll have the chance to meet 2 Alpacas Breeds! Huacaya and Suri. It's not easy to see Suri as they are very rare in Ireland!! You can meet them only at our farm nearby Loop Head and Kilkee! You'll feed them directly, and grab one of them, if you feel ready to. You'll have the opportunity to cuddle them, check them and train them too! This experience is completely tailored on you! You'll have the opportunity to meet and greet the chickens, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to pet them too! We'll be back at home, and I'll show you a spinning wheel, that I use with the alpaca wool. You can even have a try :) !! Other things to note We'll see and work with animals. Animals can be unpredictable sometimes, they can run, jump, or even spit. They can kick too. Normally it doesn't happen, but you must know that it's possible. We'll work mostly outside
