Bloodlust: Mysteries of Victorian Boston
Explore a true crime murder mystery in quaint, post-Civil War Boston.
In the late 1800s, Boston experienced a rash of gruesome murders and unexplained phenomena. People were accused of being witches and vampires, and of conversing with the dead, all while a serial murder lurked just out of sight.
Looking for a time that isn't listed? Send me a message and maybe we can work something out.
While we made pioneering strides in the new fields of forensics and toxicology, we hosted mad scientists and psychologists who treated the mentally ill in unsavory ways.
The background for a number of historic movies and shows, the country’s largest Victorian neighborhood, the South End is all within a few blocks of Copley Square and Back Bay.
Buried beneath this neighborhood's eye-catching English gardens and breathtaking brick rowhouses, the Gothic churches and strange statuary that tourist rarely see, is a unique experience you won’t want to miss.
There will be some graphic discussion of violence and murder. Participant discretion is advised.
The Revolutionary Story Tour
An epic half day city tour weaving the main events, characters, and landmarks of the American Revolution into one complete and compelling narrative. Most tours walk the Freedom Trail geographically – starting at one end and following it to the other. This tour walks Boston chronologically - the sightseeing is synchronized with and unfolds to the storytelling, bringing the characters to life and recapturing the energy that invented America. We also don't limit ourselves to "just" the Freedom Trail but explore all the original neighborhoods including the Financial District, "Little Italy", and Boston Harbor.
Awarded Boston Magazine's Best Historical Tour 2022.
A coffee / restroom break and the opportunity to enter Faneuil Hall (if it's open to the public) is built in.
There are no actors, costumes, scripts, or kitsch. The history is meticulously researched and includes insights from top scholars but presented with light-hearted humor and enthusiasm so neither beginners nor hardcore history buffs will be disappointed.
We cover both the major sights and the hidden gems; extensive visual aids and props help you grasp the material; and you'll enjoy the charm of the original neighborhoods while getting a sense of the beautiful and booming modern city as well.
The tour is orientated towards adults, but enthusiasm of all ages is welcome.

Create a Mosaic in Boston Artist Studio
In this experience you’ll make your own mosaic at the SoWa Mosaics studio in the heart of Boston’s Art + Design district!
SoWa Mosaics is a bright and welcoming space featuring mosaics made with homemade tiles of all shapes and sizes.
Each student chooses a square board or picture frame as their base. We will spend a few minutes talking about mosaics and our unique process then you’ll get started glueing tiles and creating your own unique mosaic selecting from an abundance of our handmade colorful tiles.
During the workshop we’ll be walking around to help guide and encourage your work. For smaller groups we like to sit down and create one with you too!
At the end of the workshop, your mosaic will be glued and safe to take home but needs a day to get sturdy and dry completely before you can grout it. Each student goes home with a goodie bag containing grout, gloves and instructions on how to put the finishing touches on the artwork.
After or before the workshop we encourage you to walk around and visit the 100+ other artists, galleries and shops here. Sundays are the most active with several other studios open and a vintage market in the basement. On Sundays in May thru October we have food trucks and outdoor markets too!

Intro Letterpress Printing Workshop
At the Quick Letterpress Printing Workshop, we will examine the history and technology that made letterpress printing possible, we will typeset lead type into monogrammed notecards, and we will use an antique Vendercook proofing press to print these notecards onto a range of carstock and fine art papers. Attendees will take home a personalized A2 notecard that they typeset and printed themselves. Great for teams, great for families and great for groups! I've had several bridal showers, company team-building workshops and family outings at the press, and everyone has a great time. Print your family motto, short quote, pithy joke or your company vision statement!
Other things to note
This is a hands-on experience, and letterpress printing is a technical trade that takes some physical involvement. Your hand-made item will, indeed, be hand-made by you!

Goat Snuggle Session in Rhode Island
Must love goats is our motto here at Hidden Brook Acres! Come explore the daily happenings on a dairy goat farm nestled in the forests of Rhode Island. Immerse yourself in the presence of our nigerian dwarf goats, the miniature breed of dairy goat.
Goat snuggling is always a big hit with adults and children alike! Come spend some time sitting in the pasture with our herd. Depending on the season we could be on dry lot (dirt paddock) or green grass.
This experience guarantees time relaxing in a field of goats, observing herd dynamics, an educational Q&A with a knowledgeable goat farmer.

Sunset kayak tour
We launch from Millway Beach, then we head towards the great marsh. We will pass through a couple of mooring fields admiring the small sailboat along the way. When we reach the marsh, we will regroup then work our way through several loops within the marsh with plenty of chances to spot wildlife, such as foxes, osprey, sandpipers, horseshoe crabs, snails, hermit crabs and many more. Halfway through, you will have the opportunity to explore by yourself or you can use the time to rest and enjoy a snack. From this point, we will exit the loop and let the current help guide us back to Millway Beach.
The Goat Experience
We will tour my small farm, called Border Collie Farm. First we will greet the chickens. We give them snacks and check for eggs. The eggs are green and tan. I have 11 of varying breeds. Then we will move to the ducks. There are seven Black Swedish ducks who are laying every day. Duck eggs are huge! We next see the stars, Stella, Bella and Eddie. A brief talk about goat breeds and what people use goats for will be followed by the goats eating from our hands. Everyone will have treats to offer the goats. You may even try to milk a goat. If milking is not available, then we will brush them. They enjoy being petted on the sides. We will walk the farm with them wandering besides us. They never let me get too far away. Then using Bella's milk we will make soap. At the end I will introduce you to Dylan, the Border Collie. He is very friendly and loves people. There will be ample opportunity for picture taking and a demonstration of how goat milk soap is made. Everybody leaves with a sample of soap.
