Hidden Bar Hopping With A Local
Join me for a night out in town !!! We'll go to my top 4 favorite speakeasy bars (hidden bars) around Pasar Seni (close to Chinatown). Each has a different theme and ambience. The KL Urban jungle has lots of hidden doors that lead to amazing sights, smells and sounds. I would like to share the experiences and excitement that these bars have given me when I'm out drinking with my friends. We will start from a roof top bar enjoying the sunset and ending the trip at a unique bar with a distinguishable theme. In between, we might stop in China Town for some local eateries. We'll discuss about various topics especially about Southeast Asia, Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur or where ever the conversation leads us to. I will share my opinion as a young local living in this beautiful city called Kuala Lumpur. On top of that, we will be walking from one location to another and that would also be a part of the experience where you can enjoy the night lights around Old KL City (Pasar Seni). P.S : If you guys would like to continue the night, I would be more than happy to suggest clubs or bars to go to. Other things to note Cocktails may cost from RM 30 to RM 50 per glass. Beers may cost from RM 13 to RM 20 per bottle/can. For men, shoes are required.

This 3hrs experience will start with a short boat ride to the famous Monkey Beach and continue our experience with a 45-minutes hike up a promontory leading to the Lighthouse. This is where we take a short rest while exploring the Lighthouse wherever permissible by the caretaker in charge. The Lighthouse sits on the highest point of the promontory (224m elevation) and you can enjoy a 360 breath-taking view of the surrounding areas and perhaps with the presence of white-bellied sea eagles. You will also be served with hot coffee or tea before we make our descent back to Monkey Beach. The Monkey Beach itself offers an experience of its own with a gentle beach and lots of stalls offering local food and drinks (including coconut water). Finally we'll depart Monkey Beach back to the Park office by boat. I will be covering the photo, video and drone shots of your experience which you can later take away and cherish all the wonderful moments. Other things to note You can carry a small bag or preferably a waist-pouch as it is lighter and easier to handle especially on the boat ride

It is a beautiful spot to take wefie, selfie or group photo along the hike. There are several places to rest on this route therefore even the beginner should be capable to tryout this hike. The view is spectacular during the day and much prettier with the lights on. If you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of our night residents including the Colugo or Flying Lemur, Giant Flying Red Squirrel, Tarantulas, Penang Gecko, and several species of frogs and other invertebrates. Walk with nature and stay fit
My approach is to go easy and to make this activity safe and enjoyable. The number of participants will be limited to 6 only, as this will make the experience more personal and easier to manage. I'll be covering this activity with photos and videos of the trip to keep your adventure and experience alive when you get back. We'll do a 1.5 hrs of hiking from the Penang National Park entrance to Kerachut Beach which covers a distance of about 3.5km. The trail starts with a 200m cement pavement along the beach before going into the nature trails surrounded by the cool, tropical jungle. The highest point is about 175m which is considered to be an easy trail and should not be a problem even for those doing their first hike. At the Kerachut Beach you will also see the Meromictic Lake (with combined sea and fresh waters) and you can spend some time to have a rest, take photos and videos. There is also a turtle sanctuary site nearby about 80m away. You can even get some peaceful time of your own while I prepare some hot coffee (espresso - better believe it) or tea at the beach. Finally we can hike back via the same trail (back to the park entrance) or we can take a 5 minutes' boat ride back where this will be another thrilling experience on its own. The boat ride's expense will be charged separately by the boat operators.

KL Afterdark: Night Hikes at Ampang
We will be going on a night hike to observe nocturnal animals in the wild. The hike will be HARD, we will be covering 4.5km and an altitude change of 271m from the trail head to the top of Bukit Kembara. We will be going over Bukit Kembara, circle around Ampang Impounding Reservoir, and hiking over Bukit Kembara again to head out. Some parts of the hike is steep and can be slippery if it has been raining. The lowland forests around Ampang Impounding Reservoir is where we will see the most animals, I will be showing you some frogs, lizards, spiders, scorpions and if we are lucky we might be able to see some snakes and nocturnal mammals like civets. If you need help in photographing the animals we see, just hand me your cell phone / camera; I am a professional macro photographer that teaches photography on weekends. When we meet, I'll provide a short briefing to describe our route again and talk about some animals that we are expecting to see and tips for spotting animals. After the hike I will bring you to a nearby 7-Eleven where you can order a Grab car back to your accommodations. If you are having trouble with Grab, I could order one for you too. Disclaimer: With compliance to Airbnb's Animal Welfare Guidelines, while we will be photographing the animals that we find, we will NOT be touching, petting, catching or restraining any animals during the night hike. Other things to note THIS HIKE IS HARD. Please be adequately prepared. Hiking shoes are highly recommended. Do bring a poncho or a small umbrella too as it might rain, we are visiting a rainforest afterall! Headlamps are highly recommended as it frees your hands for holding on to ropes and trees.
