Growing up South Asian, our families expressed their love by making our favorite Bangladeshi dishes or surprising us randomly with cut fruit when we needed it most. Being in Jackson Heights, NYC's most culturally rich and diverse neighborhood, makes us feel like we are back home! On our tour, you will: - Meet with Ameera or Sadia - Go to 3-5 different Bangladeshi and Himalayan restaurants - Learn about history and culture of this neighborhood that is bustling with locals eating and selling food native to their homes - Leave feeling full! private and small group surf lessons at Beach 69 in the Rockaways! OTHER TIMES AVAILABLE- just ask! lesson time is structured as below. Late arrivals will be accommodated when possible, but you may have a hard end at the original stop time. 15 minutes: get suited and workshop technique on land 60 minutes: surf time! 15 minutes: change, review your session, and ask any questions! We will meet at the beach where we will get you on the right size board for your size and your level of experience. We will go through a quick stretch and run thru a few practice paddles and pop-ups to get us ready to rip! After that we will spend a few moments looking at the water where I will explain the current conditions, explain why we will choose the section of beach we are choosing, give a few pointers on wave selection, and then we will head out into the water together. You will be on the board and I will be at your side at all times. Once in the water we will review water safety on the surf board and I will show you how we pick waves. When the waves come I will instruct you when to paddle, give a small push on the board, and coach you on when to pop up and make any corrections to your stance so that you can get the longest ride possible. For intermediate lessons I will paddle out with you and coach via my voice (no push) and help you to catch your own waves with confidence.

Established in 2014, me and my team have proudly been the first to operate Speakeasy experiences in NYC. We will take you to 3 completely concealed and hidden establishments. All 3 locations are completely hidden, no obvious bars in between. Some through vault doors with a required code and some that are down an alleys with multiple doors where you would need to know which door to open. Some even have all the drinks still in tea cups in case the police would raid them back in 1920's and was featured in the TV show Boardwalk Empire for its historical accurate decor and atmosphere. We provide historical facts by history teachers with educational and tour guide licenses. Our facts are solely from cross referenced academic sources. We furthermore work in conjunction NYC City Hall and the NYC Hall of Records to ensure the authenticity of the historical claims by each establishment we visit. We will be going on a culinary street food tour of Jackson Heights - the most diverse neighborhood in the world. We will eat food from 3 continents and more than 10+ countries and hear the sights and sounds of a vibrant neighborhood that is all connected via one long thoroughfare under the 7 train known as Roosevelt Avenue. We start in Woodside in Little Philippines, tasting various baked goods and salty/sweet concoctions, and learn the history of how these disparate groups got here in the first place.  Then just a few blocks over, we are transported to the world of South Asia - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Tibet. See the clothing, feel the vibes, and try various street foods: award winning Tibetan momos, Bengali fuchka, Burmese goodies, and various fritters and on-the-go snacks of South Asia.  Just one block further, we will be instantaneously transported to Latin America - Mexican tortas,  the trendy and award-winning birria, tamales, Ecuadorean Hornado and Humitas, freshly made Colombian arepas and bunuelos, and Peruvian specialties as well. We will pass some historic LGBTQ nightclubs and learn the history of what made Jackson Heights a safe space for this community.  Believe it or not, by the end of the tour, we will not have covered all the diversity - there's a Chinatown that has Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Cantonese food, & a separate Little Thailand

To many, the Hasidic world is shrouded in mystery and secrecy—well, not anymore. On this experience you get to see first hand the daily lives, rituals and customs of the Hasidic community, guided by a member of the community. Being able to access places seemingly closed off and hidden to the outsider. An opportunity to be able to ask any and all questions about the Jewish faith, culture and philosophy. We kick off the experience inside a Hasidic home, and learning about what it takes to keep a Kosher home. Then its off to the streets of Crown Heights, starting with exploring the world famous “770” Synagogue, getting a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of daily prayer services. Next stop is a Jewish scribe, seeing up close the intricate details involved in producing the Torah Scrolls. Followed by a walk down the avenue, visiting the local shops, and seeing the traditions dating back to the early 1800’s. It will be just for you or your party If it rains we can reschedule no canceling depending how strong the rain is And if you are more then 15 minutes late without messing me I will assume that you’re not coming and I’ll leave You will have one month once i you send you the link.
