The Original Non-Touristy Montreal Mural & Street Art Tour
We meet in the borough with the highest concentration of artists on the strip where a massive mural festival is held yearly. We're going to be hitting the streets of the Plateau Mont-Royal to check out anywhere between 20 - 30 works of art. The murals range from 2 - 9 storeys tall. We'll be learning about the artists, the message and different techniques as well as about Montreal street art and graffiti scene. We'll take to the smaller back streets and alleyways to cover some hidden gems and just might witness some live work. Here we will discover some installations and different types of guerilla art as well as get to know some of our graffiti writers and crews a bit better. This experience is great for locals, visitors, team building and private groups. Really anyone who likes pretty things and learning about one of the city’s subcultures. At the end of the experience we'll be handing you a list of recommendations for watering holes, local designer shopping, cool art galleries and the best food. The essentials of travel, quoi. Ask your guide to point out other great street art locations to continue on your own.

The Original Montreal Non-Touristy Pink Bike Tour
We start in the hood with the highest bike ridership in North America, at a 3rd wave coffee shop big in the cycling community. We head through the Plateau to the foot of the mountain park to introduce MTL before cruising to see over a dozen works of mural art in the borough with the highest concentration of artists in the country. Works range from 2-9 storeys tall! Off to the entertainment district where the biggest festivals take centre stage before checking out the waterfront and river from a hidden spot by the port. Next is the Gaybourhood. We stop at pedestrian mall open all summer, great for people watching. The main strip houses art installations, music performances and great drag bars. Picnic in a local non-touristy park with a craft beer is next (afternoon 2:30pm departures stop for cheeky sorbet instead of a picnic and are 3 hours long not 4). Last bit we pedal by typical streets with baroque balconies, winding staircases, mansarded roofs and beautiful green alleyways. We'll hit up a few more iconic parks we locals call our living rooms before we get back to the shop to hand you a list of recommendations for the best food, local shopping, cool art galleries and the best bars. The essentials of travel, quoi. This is a great intro to the city past and present. The goal is to have you fall in love with Montréal. The tour is informal but informative and a must do.
Taste of Chinatown with a Food Writer
Chinese cuisine is very rich and diverse. It cannot be treated as one entire cuisine as ingredients and styles of cooking vary depending on the geography, climate, and religion. We will journey through Chinatown and taste these regional delicacies together. By the end of the experience, you will be familiar with the flavour characteristic from various parts of China. We will start in the heart of Chinatown and make our way through four food stops all within a block from each other. Each stop represents a specific province in China. [Optional] If interested, we will also walk through the aisles of the largest Asian supermarket in Chinatown, and have you familiarize with commonly used ingredients in Chinese cooking. If you're into photography, I'll be offering you tips on taking Instagram-worthy food pictures. Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable footwear. Bring your phone or camera to take pictures. Come hungry!

Crimes and red light of Montréal
On this tour of Montreal's downtown, we will explore what used to be the Red Light’s district. I'm inviting you to revisit the naughty part of our city’s history. We will look into the crimes scene and the sex work of Montreal from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. The short itinerary will make us pass thru the Chinatown and the entertainment’s district of Montreal, mainly on St-Laurent street and Ste-Catherine street. We will discuss about the impact of the prohibition on our city that led Montreal to be known as the Sin City of the North or the Paris of North America. Among different adult subjects, we will discuss about the drug trade, the gambling industry, sex work, brothel activities and the famous criminals of Montreal. We will also talk about the different morality squads that fought crimes and corruptions that led to the late closing of the Red Light district. We will also observe the transformation that occurred in the entertainment’s district, a still vibrant part of our beloved city. Other things to note We will discuss about the criminality and the sex work that happened in at the beginning of the 20th century . Those subjects might not be suitable for people under the age of 16 years old.

Dive into lgbtq history on the Montréal Queerstory Tour
On the Montréal QUEERSTORY tour you'll dive right into the personal stories (we name names!) of when Montréal's LGBTQ2+ neighbourhood was on the west side of town. Picture it, Montréal, 1960s to 1990s: Women's lib and gay rights, activism and partying, sex, drugs and police violence. Along the course of this walking tour, your professional guide will make you discover the spots where every group in the L-G-B-T-Q-2+ communities had their struggles and their victories. See where men were first legally allowed to dance with other men, learn about the boycott that lead lesbians to organize their way to emancipation, find out why Montréal nightlife was the sh*t and hear about the dreadful consequences of what they once called "the worst of crimes". You'll never see the city the same way again, and you'll never take for granted the liberties and rights that queer people in Montréal enjoy today.
