In this workshop, you'll make a sterling silver ring through the silversmithing "fabrication" technique. Learn the basics of texturing metal, forming metal with mandrels and hammers, soldering (yes, you'll play with fire!), and decorative finishing and leave with a beautiful handmade ring that will last a lifetime! This is not just some craft project. You will be working on the same tools that I use myself as a professional silversmith and your ring will be professional quality. It's always a fun evening! You'll be floored by what you can create! Other things to note: You will get plenty of ideas for rings during the class. I also encourage you to look at the photos in this experience as well as guest photos for ideas!

Our sailing experience begins at Monroe Harbor right in downtown Chicago. Guests will enjoy a captained cruise on our sailing yacht, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37. We will cast off and motor out to Lake Michigan where we will set sail to a favorable course. Bring your favorite food and drinks, listen to music, relax, and take in the views of our city’s iconic buildings from the lakefront. The courageous can try their hand at the helm and rigging the sails-Captain Greg is a volunteer sailing instructor for a local non-profit and enjoys sharing his knowledge. On hot days be sure to bring a bathing suit to swim in the lake to cool off. Please feel free to inquire about custom bookings. We have hosted engagements, bachelorette parties, corporate outings and many more memorable events! Things to note: Other Airbnb guests will potentially join your public booking unless you reserve the entire boat privately. There are six open spots on a first book first serve basis. We only wait 15 minutes at the dock for a late guest out of courtesy for timely guests. We only cancel for lightning and will refund everyone. If you tend to get motion/seasick, or have a hangover, take motion medication 30 minutes prior.

One of the best ways to really acquaint yourself with the infamous city of Chicago is to do it from the streets, through a guided Chicago Gangster Tour or Ghost Tour, detailing the crimes, deals, and charisma that made the city what it is today. 1. Guests join us at our space Studio W.I.P. and dive into the world of spray paint and urban art. All instruction is done by local artists. Each guest will go home with their very own piece of the mural to remember their night. 2. Upon entering guests can relax and enjoy our ever changing gallery. Feel free to bring a beverage. It's BYOB! Guests will unleash their inner street artist on a 50ft wall! This interactive workshop will turn guests into the artist and be guided along the way. Experimenting with lettering, stencils, aerosol, & cap technique guests will experience something truly unique. 3. Our main objective is to break down stereotypes that often are connected with spray paint. Guests will leave with curiosity and basic skills when applying aerosol to boot.

We leave from The Cooperage Building, 820 S. Water St,which has free parking adjacent to our docks and will spend 90 minutes on the Duffy boat. Iced coolers on board for you to bring refreshments and snacks. Boone and Crocket and their new outdoor patio for drinks post cruise, typically opens by 3pm. We will then head out and explore four sections of the Milwaukee River that include the Harbor District, The Hoan Bridge where the Milwaukee River flows in the Lake Michigan, the Third Ward, and the Downtown corridor. Once we see Lakefront Brewing, which marks the end of the downtown corridor, we will and loop back to the Cooperage Docks. The Milwaukee River is bustling with activity, kayakers, large tour boats, pleasure boats, and bridges which open and close several times along the way. Other things to note The Duffy Boat is covered and has zipped windows for comfort. We can be in 50 degree weather and still be cozy. I suggested shoes that you’d wear on a boat, flat shoe or sandal.

upon entering Aroma Workshop in Chicago's Lincoln Park guests are given a card to indicate which scents from our "Scent Bar" they like, then a friendly Perfumer expertly blends scents on tester strips for the guests to sample. When their favorite is picked it goes into a choice of 2.2 oz. bottles. BOTTLE IS INCLUDED and we are BYOB. Couples, Mothers Daughters, Best friends all have fun creating scents together.

We meet you on our homestead in the deep, lush forests of Northern Michigan. After a short introduction we venture off with the goats, down the trail, deeper into the woods…as they browse and forage for food. As we walk there is plenty of time for Q and A and space for the joy of experiencing this pastoral pastime of days gone by. Time slows down as we venture with the goats on their quest to seek the finest of the available forest greenery.

The river then spills out onto Lake Michigan where patrons can assist with raising and setting sails. We then catch the wind and head up the beautiful dune lined coast. Time to enjoy the natural wonder of 100 plus miles of white sands beaches, wander the deck driven only be the wind. The trip ends with a relaxing run back up river to the docks. After confirming your booking, on the day of rental, you will be meeting your boat captain at Montrose Harbor. One of the best harbors in the city of Chicago! After going over some quick boat (18’) safety tips and location of safety equipment, we will embark on our destination. This will include a quick journey of Montrose Harbor, if weather permitting we’ll head straight to the “playpen”, a location where other boaters hang out, swim off the boat, and relax. Feel free to jump in and cool off if desired! From there we’ll take a spin around Navy pier and Museums.. On our way south towards downtown we’ll pass a few of the harbors as well as some of our most popular beaches. On our return back up north to Montrose Harbor, you will get to soak more of our incredible skylines from the boat. Back at the dock you can use any remaining time to hang out or if hungry walk down to our seasonal outdoor restaurant on the beach. Dogs are allowed on private bookings only.
