This perfumery workshop takes place in a beautiful Korean house, where you will learn how to make your own perfume with a basic lesson. We will smell our 30 best scent bases that I created from raw materials, and we'll share our feelings and emotions. After you choose three of your favorite scents, I will help you blend them to make a perfume that's just for you. Your signature perfume will be much better than the famous brand's. Other things to note - Please do not wear perfume before the workshop. - Please arrive on time in respect for other guests. - You can not have friends or family member who has not booked in the workshop.

Hi. I am Helen Jeongju Kim. In this workshop, I will not only teach you how to write beautifully, but also how to experience the joy of carving a handcrafted seal. You will create a design using your name. During this activity, your mind will relax and you will experience healing through the slow analog, tactile sensibility of everyday life. I will teach you how to design and carve your name with a engraving knife on a small stone. First, I shows two ways to engrave the seal and demonstrates how to carve with a carving knife.(straight line, circle, etc.) Then I helps you learn to hold the engraving tool and practice properly. Next, I show the way to design the names and help to design according to syllable of name. You go for it and then cover with ink of Korean style and take a stamp. Once the engraving is over, you can choose a elegant case for your stone seal. It will be an opportunity to rethink the meaning of your name that you have forgotten while carving the seal. When you return home, you'll enjoy looking at the stamp you carved and remembering your travels. I'll write down a message for you in K-calligraphy after you have stamp your seal on a postcard I prepare. Public transportation is convenient. Other things to note -The name stone is not as hard as you think. -Even a 10-year-old can use a tool to carve an own seal.

This two-hour workshop is designed for beginners. We will take a brief look at the history of Najeon Chilgi—the Korean wooden lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Made from the shining, unchangeable beauty of pearl oyster or abalone, mother-of-pearl is smooth, iridescent, and is considered to be the jewel of the orient. The traditional Najeon Chilgi technique is complicated and takes a long time. During this workshop, we will use a technique that cuts the mother of pearl and we'll stick in these pieces to decorate a wooden tray or a plate, coasters like a little mosaic. I will also have prepared the pre-cut pieces of shell, which will be easy to stick. All materials and tools will be provided and you will be offered a choice of different designs. Of course, you can also bring an image if you have one in your mind. You will enjoy a well-deserved drink after you've finished creating your masterpiece, which you'll get to take home with you. -Other things to note- •The shape of plate/tray will be varied depends on its supply. •Please be informed that we have stairs in the place, sorry for any inconvenience. •Let me know if you’re allergic to cats -We have quite shy one in here (so I’ll make sure he’d hide inside as he usually do).

Dress in a hanbok from the collection that my team and I have designed for dramas and movie-like experiences. We are involved in every process of making our hanboks, from the fabrics to the design and manufacturing. During this experience, you will dress in one of our hanboks and get a traditional hairstyle of your choice, such as braided, up-style, a wig, wedding-style, or any other traditional style you want (around 40 mins per person). Then you'll choose either the studio or the outdoors for your photoshoot. You will be given a variety of options for photogenic shots, from Seoul’s grand palaces to our beautiful hanok studio (around 25 mins per person). After the experience, we'll provide ALL unedited photos (you would need a usb or you can use ours upon purchase) + five edited digital copies of snapshots for each guest.

This experience will change the way you view Hongdae, a hip and vibrant neighborhood in Seoul. You will follow my daily routine as a musician and I will explain why the Hongdae area is an important place for musicians like me. I will take you to the hidden places that have played a role in the history of Korea's indie scene. Throughout our visit, you'll be able to imagine how musicians start and develop their careers. We'll stop by my favorite coffee shop and afterwards, we'll visit my studio to take a closer look at the life of musician. You may look through the picture books that have influenced me as a composer. You can also try whatever instrument you like—piano, guitar, ukulele, or any of the percussions. If you haven't played any of them before, I'll help you. I can also recommend Korean indie music songs you may like. Lastly, I'll sing my songs just for you and share the stories around them. It will be very special to enjoy an up-close, live performance without a microphone. Other things to note I'd like to treat you to my favorite coffee so if you're bothered by too much caffeine, don't drink any in advance. Don't worry if you aren't good at playing a musical instrument—it's just for fun.

Calligraphy, the basis of spiritual culture and art practice, is the essence of Korean traditional art. I would like to show you how the brush draws my heart through my own performance. I have been practicing calligraphy for 40 years professionally. I wish I can share you some of my thoughts and stories about my various works and Korean art and art in general through my course. What you will learn and practice: 1. Concentrating your mind. 2. How to grind inkstick to make ink. 3. How to hold a brush and posture. 4. How to draw basic strokes. 5. Writing your motto in Korean calligraphy. You will create an unexpected work in the most traditional way with my meticulous guidance. In the end, you will find yourself immersed in it. Itinerary: 1. Meet the host at exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung subway station 2. Head to a Hanbok rental shop, choose and change into hanbok, and get hair styled(hair braids with accessories). (~45 mins) *[Rental is paid separately] 3. Walk to Gyeongbokgung palace (~5 mins) 4. Take photos at the palace (~1hr 15 min) 5. Exchange contact information to receive images and return to the meeting point Additional Information: -The price of the rental is about $15-20 per person and it is paid separately at the rental shop (hair styling is included with hanbok rental) -Maximum number of guests for Regular Booking is 2, so solo travelers have a chance to make a friend! -Bookings made for 2 or more guests will become a Private Session by default -For groups larger than 4, please contact the host before booking -Each guest will receive about 100+ photos from the shoot(sent within 24hrs) and can choose 5 absolute favorites to be professionally retouched and color-graded! Enjoy the beautiful night view of Seoul and N Seoul Tower on city walls and enjoy delicious local food after the hike! Also, you can explore various gems of places that only a local would know. At a cafe with terrace on the hillside, you can take a break having a refreshing drink (coffee, cold beer etc) while enjoying the amazing scenery of Seoul. After the hike, tour ends with the best local food experiecne, which includes traditional food / KBBQ/Korean drinking sncaks/ makgeolli (traditional rice wine). Food options will be provided before the tour begins, and they are personal favorites in the town. The best night walking tour with a local historian! Let's visit hidden gems that foreigners would not notice! I'm a local major in history, quite confident to make your travel more valuable :) Let's look at the cultures & social issues of local life with fantastic night views. This tour will absolutely make a great experience for you. (With a Perfect Sunset!!) We are walking up to a beautiful historical monument, Hanyang City Wall(Naksan park), which is famous for incredible night views of Seoul. More we walk up, the more lights will shine through the night of Seoul. On the top of the hill, all the scenery that Seoul wants to show you will bloom in your sight! On our way, we will be visiting Ehwa mural village, Maronie park, Seoul national university, Naksan park, and Hanyang city wall. Every single area has a unique atmosphere. And with a spoon of fun history I have added, you can see Korea in a whole different view. While walking with me, you will see how beautiful Seoul is at night. Just bring your body in good condition. I will take you to places and give stories which foreigners would never find themselves. *There will be a Korean food & drinking session after the tour. Even those who aren’t keen on sports are likely to get caught up in the infectious atmosphere of a professional baseball game at the Jamsil Baseball stadium, complete with entertainment courtesy of K-pop cheerleaders. Sing-along cheering songs with fellow crowds and cheerleaders, everyone enjoys standing up together and making cute dance moves. Plus, you can't finish this experience without eating various foods and cold beer while watching the game. Also, Jamsil is equiped with all the necessities to enjoy Seoul's night life. After the baseball game, let's hang out with a variety of local foods, sleepless streets with local people! We invite you to our night out in Jamsil, where friends, couples and families can all enjoy together. *This tour includes a ticket to the game, food and alcohol. *Please note that watching baseball games lasts approximately 2 - 2.5 hours, and you may not be able to watch the whole game. *After party food and drinks are all included. *The stadium will be replaced to Gocheok stadium in Seoul or the tour will be cancelled in case it rains.
