Our sailing experience begins at Monroe Harbor right in downtown Chicago. Guests will enjoy a captained cruise on our sailing yacht, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37. We will cast off and motor out to Lake Michigan where we will set sail to a favorable course. Bring your favorite food and drinks, listen to music, relax, and take in the views of our city’s iconic buildings from the lakefront. The courageous can try their hand at the helm and rigging the sails-Captain Greg is a volunteer sailing instructor for a local non-profit and enjoys sharing his knowledge. On hot days be sure to bring a bathing suit to swim in the lake to cool off. Please feel free to inquire about custom bookings. We have hosted engagements, bachelorette parties, corporate outings and many more memorable events! Things to note: Other Airbnb guests will potentially join your public booking unless you reserve the entire boat privately. There are six open spots on a first book first serve basis. The ultimate horse experience. No riding needed. You will enter the realm of our horses in a private cozy section of the pasture. There we join with a group of 8 or less other people around a fire. One horse will be in our space and others around us. We will begin by getting in the moment and out of our busy minds. Then we will do a variety of self reflection exercises. Some will involve the horse, some on our own. Horses naturally want us to be balanced and happy. As we enter their space they seek to do just that. A way to think about this if you are scientific, our bodies naturally generate a vibration from our heart and all organs. When we are sick, stressed or unhappy this vibration is chaotic. The horses and I will get you back to a healthy frequency. If you follow the belief in chakras I have one horse in particular that works on balancing those. Overall you will leave with a beautiful peace and clear direction of what you need to do in any area of challenge in your life. No experience necessary.

After confirming your booking, on the day of rental, you will be meeting your boat captain at Montrose Harbor. One of the best harbors in the city of Chicago! After going over some quick boat (18’) safety tips and location of safety equipment, we will embark on our destination. This will include a quick journey of Montrose Harbor, if weather permitting we’ll head straight to the “playpen”, a location where other boaters hang out, swim off the boat, and relax. Feel free to jump in and cool off if desired! From there we’ll take a spin around Navy pier and Museums.. On our way south towards downtown we’ll pass a few of the harbors as well as some of our most popular beaches. On our return back up north to Montrose Harbor, you will get to soak more of our incredible skylines from the boat. Back at the dock you can use any remaining time to hang out or if hungry walk down to our seasonal outdoor restaurant on the beach. Dogs are allowed on private bookings only. Mole is a delicious Mexican sauce that has 20+ ingredients, the most traditional ones are from the city's of Oaxaca and Puebla in México. Im gonna teach you my Grandmas recipe!! and at the end of the class you will have the recipe in your email. Also explain you the different varieties of moles around México. We will start with a traditional Agua fresca, and then you will make your own mole from scratch, recognizing all the ingredients and steps, we also gonna smoke the way the ancestors do hundreds of years ago. im gonna gide you in each step but I want you to be hands on. We will enjoyed the mole at the end, served buffet style with chicken, jalapeño green rice, beans with avocado leaves, and veggies. Hi there! I'm Steven and I want to help you explore places you've not seen before! I'm hosting guided, kayaking tours on Clinton Lake or more specifically the creek that feeds into it. This informal "tour" experience is for both new and experienced kayakers. I will accompany guests during their experience for both safety and informational purposes. During the experience, guests will have the freedom to move as quickly or as slowly as they'd like throughout the creek area as I point out wildlife, provide history on the lake and answer any questions you might have about what you're seeing. Your financial investment into this experience covers your kayak, life jacket and paddle rentals along with not having to mess with transportation. Guests are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring food and drink in their own (small) coolers, including alcohol, provided they can produce a 21+ ID. The day starts with a brief Meet&Greet and safety speech. Time permitting, duration of the outings is up to you but, from personal experience, I've found outings of 3-4 hours are the best experiences based on various factors of sun exposure, physical limitations, etc. Unfortunately, the kayaks have a total weight limit of about 300 pounds but please do email with any and all questions! Chicago offers a lot of hidden bars for night owls. We will start the night at my favorite hidden gem in West Loop, we will spend about one hour here then head to the next bar which is an 8 minute walk. Some of the bars have secret entrances so be ready for a fun night. The bars have amazing cocktails, beers, non-alcoholic drinks, good music and a good ambiance. There are plenty of secret bars and unfortunately we cannot explore all of them in one night. However, I will share with you the location of other secret bars which you can visit later. Please be advised that drinks or food are NOT included. This is not prohibition level speakeasy tour, this is a chill bar hopping experience. I was not born in the early 1900s and don’t know anything about prohibition so don’t ask. Have a drink and relax. Please note the experience time says it lasts 3 hours but you are welcomed to stay at the bars as long as you like. If your preferred hour is fully booked, don't worry, bar fits a fair amount of people, send me a message. There are still some locations that may ask for your proof of vaccination to access the bars.
