Guests will be able to see Miami's nightlife with different restaurants/bars along the river with live music.Once we are done crossing the river, we will head back to the marina on a different route. Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not necessarily be the place that you will have your experience. I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment utilized in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you and as a memento of being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please come with your epi-pen or choose a different experience. Upon entering Universal Studios Theme Park, we will stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and I'll take portraits of you amongst the iconic backgrounds. Then, we will go to Central Park along the water and take pictures with the theme park as your background. After we'll mosey on down the quiet alleys and streets of New York City itself, snapping photos of you on its brick roads. Cast a spell in London and at Harry Potter's Diagon Alley, posing in front of the dragon atop of Gringotts Bank and various artwork decorating the storefronts. We end our adventure at Simpsons Land, where I'll be capturing your smile at the endless carnival games and iconic locations from the television show! You will taste the perfect Cuban coffee, experience smoking a cigar like a native cuban, and learn the Cuban cigar ritual—from the old way of lighting it to the proper way to smoke it and make a wish at the Sacred CEIBA Tree. These are rituals that have been passed down and traveled overseas through generations from Cuba to here in Miami. Also, we'll take a cultural walking exploration around the famous landmarks of Little Havana. Your 1.5+ hour interactive experience with a bee colony begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee and the different jobs a bee has as they mature. Learn the parts of the hive. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. Whether you are looking to start your own backyard hive or just have a fascination with honeybees and want to learn more, this workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the craft of beekeeping. Looking for something fun, different, yet also educational? You have come to the right place. You will be fascinated to learn how much more bees are responsible for. Your session will begin with a short introduction to the bees. Afterwards, you will put on protective gear and go inside the Apiary with one of our Beekeepers. You will hold frames of bees, search for the Queen, and learn how to inspect a hive, among other activities. This is the perfect time to take a photo of your experience, so be sure to bring a camera! Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Visit our farm venture into an apiary, and finish up with some raw, local honey. Known as "Tumbao", "Marcha" or "Rhythm Pattern", you can learn to play this basic Conga pattern used in most popular music today in just 15 minutes. In this two-hour audience participation show, I take you through the history of how the Conga drums have influenced American Music (8 minutes), followed by the "15 minute Conga" lesson, and 60 to 70 minute audience play along to rhythms such as Jazz, Rock, Latin, Soul, Funk, R&B and Pop. We end the lesson with "Oh When The Saints Come Marching In". During the show, I'll also play several Conga Rhythyms from my recently published book to hopefully enlighten the audience to the history of this instrument. Participants will take home a printed copy free of charge of the music they just learned, to practice at home. No experience needed. If it’s a group of 5. You must reserve 5 seats. After you purchase your seat , there is a $100 remaining balance for the jetski ride. Two people are welcomed to go on one jetski. I chose a special route to reach downtown Miami: we will pass in front the house of the rich and famous as well as looking for dolphins and manatee along the way. We also can stop and swim at Flager Island. We will then reach out Miami downtown and admire the breakthaking sunrise with the miami skyline in front. After taking our time admiring this nature and human wonder we will head back to the marina using an alternate and spectacular route as well. We are located in one of the busiest areas of Miami.
